This cop was called to domestic disturbance. He determined no crime had occurred but learned the argument was about how the family would feed itself that night. So the cop makes no arrests goes to a local restaurant and buys a mean for all 7 members of the family.
The media needs to write a lot more stories like this.
I saw another story like this where two cops pulled over a family for not having child safety seat. When the family told them they couldn't afford the seat, one cop stayed with the family to make sure they didn't drive and risk injury to the child. The other went and purchased the safety seat for the family.
