When do practices start? Are all commits on campus and enrolled? Does anybody know what recruits are visiting and the dates of their visits? Has anyone actually seen Gibbs? Is her listed size fairly accurate?

I guess like everyone else I'm starving for some news or rumors, gossip, or that social networking stuff-twitter, etc.

While at the men's practice yesterday I had a chance to ask someone that has 1st hand knowledge of the women's team a couple of questions. I asked if Gibbs had the ability to contribute now or in the future and if Portia had come along enough to be of some help. The answers were that the belief was that Gibbs would develope into a use full contributor in the future and that Portia was expected to be much more help this season.

Thanks. I needed that. We need some people who are in the area to nose around like you did and pick up some tidbits. Any retirees near Norman with time on their hands and a nosy disposition?

Some visits have been set up for the TCU and Tech games. Since the information comes from OUInsider Premium, I can't reveal it.

I can't say.

Edit to say: I have suggested that this board is not that inaccurate.

I'm simply inquiring if there's new content today or just the message from earlier.
I don't see new content.

OK

So the premium board posts: "Player X, a guard ranked #24, and player Y, a post ranked #37 are visiting this weekend for the TCU football game."

What information posted on the free Board would constitute an unethical post:

1. Players X & Y are planing on visiting OU in the future
2. Two top ranked players will visit OU this weekend
3. A post is visiting OU soon
4. Two players are planning on visiting OU
5. Some players are visiting a Big 12 school in the future
6. The Premium board has some recruiting news

All of that information is contained in the original post. Is it all off limits?

Some have said too much and worn out their welcome on Insider. Frankly, we had heard of every name that I've seen mentioned on Insider before they were mentioned on Insider. But, then, sometimes, Hale does ask Sherri for specific information. I figure that is off limits, at least for some period of time. The nature of the information isn't as relevant as we're making it. We basically know who is coming in for visits or who OU has shown an interest in. We may not be certain, but we kind of should be.

Tweet SoonersWBB under "Wow" " We need to get some Louisiana flavor in that sooner gumbo" talking to Garland Young(AAU Coach). Looking at Kalani Brown and some other players possibly in Atlanta from Louisiana.

Someone at work told me that a guard will be visiting. Either TCU or Tech game. He didn't say who. He told me, I should subscribe to Hale's site for total OU coverage. I kept on him, but he wouldn't say.

2015 bigs: Kalani Brown 6-4 Louisiana, Teaira McCowan 6-7 Texas, Ashley Hearn 6-4 Texas, Beatrice Mompremier 6-4 Florida, Meredith Burkhall 6-3 Iowa, Napheesa Collier 6-1 Missouri. 2016 bigs: Lauren Cox 6-4 Texas, Nancy Mulkey 6-9 Texas, Joyner Holmes 6-3 Texas, Kylee Shook 6-4 Colorado, Brogan Jones 6-4 Arkansas, Ann Marie Burchfield 6-3 Arkansas. Just some names in this area or where OU has gone before.

I wonder if that would be Brooke Alexander.

I have always been somewhat confused as to what is okay to repeat from a pay site and what is not. I have heard that summarizing the information is okay as long as it is not a direct quote but I'm not sure if that is accurate or not.

That brings up another question...can one obtain information in a manner that is in direct violation with NCAA rules and still protect it by saying it is copyrighted?

I will repeat what I posted on a different thread on this subject:

I am not a lawyer. However, my understanding is that you cannot copyright a fact. For instance Felisha Gibbs commits to OU...that is a fact and James cannot copyright that. James can copyright the words he used to describe that fact but he does not have the exclusive right to convey that fact.

That is consistent with what I have been told as well. So, if it is a fact we are recruiting so and so or if so and so is going to visit, those facts are not protected by copyright.

Who would want to copy James' grammatical errors word for word anyway?
