It's on!

Detroit sixth man C Eli Holman, who averaged 10.9 ppg and 6.8 rpg, is ready for the challenge of facing player of the year candidate Thomas Robinson. “Robinson? I can handle Robinson,” Holman told The Detroit News. “He has to handle me. These are the moments you want as a college player. You want to play against a player like Robinson.”

As I said in another thread, they're good and record is misleading due to Holman being out for a while. Only McD's AA on the floor will be suiting up for Detroit.

I dont know how good Holman is, but it looks like Ray McCallum is pretty salty. I wish he had come to OU>

A center is going to guard Robinson?

I guess KU should go inside to Withey with a PF on him?

Robinson may be the best player in the country.

But he's also the most overrated.

I wouldn't be at all surprised to see him put together a mediocre performance against Detroit.

If kansas decides to counter by going inside to Whitey, that's a win for Detroit.

I've been following Detroit the last month or so. They are my team to follow since no OU. Now they draw Kansas. Although it's a tough one it's not like they can't win. McCallum could play for most teams and I like their athletic bigs. They have players I'd love to see in Norman. I have them winning in one of my brackets.

I actually like KU comfortably in this game. Maybe not a blowout, but a solid 10 point win, maybe. Detroit shoots the ball from 3 TERRIBLY. They shoot it, as a team, 5% worse then OU did for the season. Best I can tell, they don't have a single kid that plays meaningful minutes that shoots it well. Their starting pg, shoots it very similarly to Grooms. Their best shooter? Only 2% worse then Neal for OU.

IF KU shows up and plays defense, and the game isn't called super tight, I don't think it's close. It's tough to "keep up with" KU if you aren't going to knock down some outside shots.
