Didi Richards

Sherri has her foot in the door. She just needs to close the deal!

Her favorite, though, is two-time national college Player of the Year and six-time USA Basketball gold medalist Breanna Stewart of UConn.

“When you think about Connecticut, you think NCAA championships and Breanna Stewart,” Richards said. “I like everything about her and I want to play like her. She plays everywhere, she’s dominant everywhere. When (opponents) hear her name, they get scared. I would love to be able to have people think that way of me.”

With a statement like the above, Norm, do you REALLY think that we have a chance? Sadly, I think we wind up once more as one of the "considered" schools...

I wonder if these kids ever look to see who will be on the team when they arrive? If you look at UConn's commits, there are several about 6-2, a wing at 5-10, and a guard at about 5-7. There are no posts as yet in the 2015-2018 classes. Texas is all about posts. Do you look to notice that they have a post and a point guard, but no wings like me?

Her best friend is Mulkey, I'm sure that's one reason she's giving OU a look...

She can play like Stewart at OU.

Absolutely. With the success of the recruits we already have, I don't see any reason Didi can't do her thing as a Sooner. Either she will or she won't, it really ain't that big of a deal.

I have not seen Richards. So, I can't say anything about her. But, she has seen Mulkey. Mulkey won twice: 70-41 and 62-38. I think she has seen what it would be like to have Mulkey inside on her team.

If I were a potentially high-scoring wing, I might look at the fact that I had a post capable of generating a running game with her blocks and a point guard who was Freshman of the Year in the Big Twelve and a member of the national U-19 team. I would think that I might find a place to fit into a mix like OU has.
