GAME 34 - ROUND 1 - OKLAHOMA (20-13) vs UCONN (24-10) 8:25pm CST on TNT

Fair. Idk how fears has that mental lapse directly out of a timeout tho. Surely pm told him in the timeout to go directly to the ball to get it so he could attack Like he did all night and miles did not do..

I called a timeout this year in a close game...draw up a play on the sideline and when we go out to run it...one kid lines up incorrectly and runs the wrong direction. Shockingly the play didn't work. Was it bad coaching? Or just a mistake on the kids part?

According to some people on here that is 100% on the coach....even if I didn't draw it up the way it was run.

None of those guys are coming here. Why would they?
Way more $$$ than what they are making now. Bucky is rumored to be around 400K, Moser clearly makes much much more. Imagine getting a double salary bump to coach at OU. You go.

Would love to see how many shots OU made outside of 3 effing feet lol. That was the most frustrating OU tournament game since…
LAYUPS ONLY:

1st Half - 5 for 12 (after we made the first 4)
2nd Half - 6 for 14

11 for 25, layups. Layups.

According to ESPN play-by-play

Yea..Lon Krugers last 4 years at OU he was 73-51

PMs first 4 at OU he's 74-58

I don't love PM and have said his offense is terrible....but he is not inept as a coach like a few of you keep trying to point out. I'd be fine if he left for sure but I'm not trying to put his head on a stake like a few of you. Lol
55% career winner.. that's pretty bad

You already gave me this before. Also, was it the last play of the year with the game on the line? With semi-pro players? Did you have another timeout left?

Bucky has been to one NCAA Tourney (0-1) and one NIT (0-1) in four years as a head coach. And THAT'S who we want our program handed over to?

Lon also played tougher teams Nonconference, PM has his record inflated a little bit with tons of creampuffs.

Did you ask why would they come here? My answer was to your question.

Double? You mean 10x? Doesn't Moser get like 4 mil?

Bucky would get like at least 5x.

Yeah, I don't think he can take us where I want us to go. But he can make us a consistent early exit tourney team. He's not amazing, but he's not completely inept like some on here pretend. It's not a common occurrence, but he literally just outcoached the 2 time defending champ. The people that pretend he's a bad person and criticize him for the clothes he wears or that he rallies support with frat houses are next level psycho.

Our out of conference schedule was not atrocious this year...and I'd counter that the SEC this year was just as good, if not better than each of those Big 12 years under Lon.

Back to back 20 win seasons is solid work. Maybe not elite but definitely solid

if Moser can average 20 wins going forward with the current investment, that is good solid coaching. He can stay as long as he wants if he can do that. Until ou ponies up, the expectations need to realistic.

Well when you schedule 8 or 9 absolute gimme wins, the math is in your favor to get to 20.

Proud of the guys effort. It was one of the best defensive games of the season as far as activity and energy. We still did some of the same stupid stuff (not grabbing rebounds and not being strong with the ball at times), but we are as good as UCONN IMO. The difference is.....you have to make shots and that includes 3s and finishing at the rim. We simply left too many points out there and it was the difference in the game.

Moving forward, I think this is also the type of game that amplifies the need for a higher quality recruit/transfer. And I mean getting guys from P-5 schools and upper mid-majors. Come tournament time, you need guys that can perform on the big stage....and really the only two we have are gone next year. PM will be back (unless he leaves on his own accord), but he is still on a short leash as far as I'm concerned. He had better find a way to improve the roster overall (which is his weakness) or his days are numbered.

Totally agreed on defensive energy and activity. We looked especially hungry. Kinda sucked imo because idk why we couldn't make ourselves have that mentality all year. It was overall a good showing other than the blown layups. There's just no excuse. Pm needs to fix that. Practice layups 10x more next year
