Didi Richards

A few months ago I thought we had a chance of signing her but in the past few weeks I had last all hope. I guess if there is any good news it is that we will get to watch her play for four years.

DiDi will be on of the good ones, but I think she's more of a robin then batman... At this point I don't think missing out on her is a big deal because we have a team full of guards and wings...

Peyton, Gioya, Derica, and probably Maddie will be leaving. We don't know how good Chelsea and Rich will be. I think Ana is going to be good. The bench is not going to produce the next star. I think we badly need an elite guard and point guard.

She will be a McDonald's all American and at the end of the day she fills the stat sheet. Outside of walker she's the next best wing. Definitely not a robin though, she's a lead guard and was second in scoring on her aau team behind Joyner Holmes ( number one 2016).....

Any school that misses out on her or any top 10 kid is missing out on something. Just understand this, top 10 kids don't walk through the door everyday. OU is recruiting her teammate and she's a wing/guard who's not as talented, so what sense does that make?

At the end of the day I just don't see Richards leaving the state and i understand why a lot of kids don't leave the state being you have 3 schools in the top 20. I think that's why a lot of schools don't go into the state.

Not taking anything away from her.. If she was the number 1 kid in 2017 I would still feel the same way, she'll be a great player, but more like a Tina Charles or Kaleena Mosque Lewis...A star in college but needed another really good player to excel.

Every great team has great players....that's what make the team special. Richards was really the best all around kid on that Cy fair team.

I think everyone agrees, we desperately need some great players.

hey Skills is it true that Richards and Alexis Morris are a package deal, and that Morris is close to committing to Baylor?

Same thing I've been hearing. From what I'm being told Morris is a for sure to Baylor and Richards is 50/50 between Baylor and Texas.

Also hearing that both of them will be there on January 3rd vs OU. I will be there just for the halftime ceremony......they are retiring Simms jersey that day

It's amazing how well Baylor and Texas are doing recruiting the elite Texas players. I wish we had at least one assistant coach who had close ties to Texas.

Thanks Skills... I do wish you had answers as to why the top kids from Texas won't look at OU, but I'm sure only Sherri knows...

Our memories are getting even shorter.

I will just help by mentioning one little bitty name: Nancy Mulkey.

I see Chad in Texas quite often and it seems HE has a good relationship with the kids and parents here in Texas. I think the Cy fair kids and Chad are just fine, but he and OU have to repair the DFW relationship. Same way Baylor has done with Cy fair

I've heard the same thing about Chad but, if we are going to compete with Baylor and Texas on the court, we have to find a way to compete with them on the recruiting trail. Right now, that's not happening. That said, I agree that's hard to do when Chad has his hands tied when it comes to the DFW kids.

The timing is right......Texas A&M is falling short right now and with them in the SEC a lot of kids aren't so quick to go play there. OU being in the big 12 has a better chance at these kids, but it seems that TCU are the ones who are benefiting from this at this moment

TCU could be near the top half of the big 12 very soon.
