Does anyone think he has the skills to make a living overseas or has he seen the last of his basketball career ?

He has the skills to play overseas for sure. The question is where? Hollis Price and Ricky Grace both made a killing playing basketball in Europe.

Agreed. Size is not such a big issue with many of the overseas leagues, so he can be a 6'1" SG.

Literally anyone that played D1 can play overseas. Ryan Wright who was horrible, plays overseas

Ricky played virtually his entire career in Perth, Australia, & in fact is in the Australian Hall of Fame.

Yes, there are ****ty ass leagues not just in Europe but around the world. In a lot of them it's not much of a living, though. Most of the guys in many of the leagues around the world have 2 jobs.

I wonder if Hollis Price is trying to get any French players to come play for Kelvin in Houston?

Do you see Walker having the talent to play in a league that pays well enough he doesn't need a second job?

I don't really know how good a player needs to be but my guess is he will not be able to make a whole lot playing ball. Nothing agains the guy. He is clearly a far superior athlete than I was, I just don't see him as separating himself from the thousands of other guys that can play at his level.

He showed flashes. I think you would see a lot from his if he was playing against lesser competition. I think he could do quite well overseas

I don't think he was a great fit for what we wanted. The strongest part of his game was driving to the bucket (although he was a bad FT shooter which made that less effective), and we really just needed him to handle the ball and make open 3s.

That being said, if Dijynil can find work playing ball overseas, it's going to be in a low level league that is gonna pay not much. If he is interested in living abroad, that could be a fun deal for a few years (although those gigs are typically in uninteresting minor cities), but it's tough racket playing low level ball. Those guys have to deal with long bus rides, cramming into crappy motels, and oftentimes being paid late or not at all.

Cade Davis is apparently still making a go of it. Don’t know if he is making any money, but he is getting to see the world.

Cade Davis (ex Nea Kifisia) is a newcomer at Kauhajoki - by Eurobasket News

Karhu Kauhajoki (Korisliiga) strengthened their roster with addition of 27-year old American swingman Cade Davis (197-88, college: Oklahoma, agency: Two Points).

He played last season at Nea Kifisia in Greek A1 league. In 26 games he recorded 7.3ppg, 3.4rpg and 1.2apg. He helped them to make it to the Greek Cup Semifinals.

The previous (13-14) season Davis played at MZT Skopje (Prva Liga) in FYR Macedonian league. The team played in three different competitions (!!!) that year, and he was exposed to basketball on different levels. In 9 Prva Liga games he averaged 8.7ppg, 3.7rpg and 1.6apg in 2013-14 season. Davis also played 8 games in Eurocup where he averaged 7.8ppg, 2.9rpg, 1.8apg and 1.0spg in 2013-14 season. He also played 24 games in Adriatic League where he averaged 7.3ppg, 2.8rpg and 1.2apg in 2013-14 season.

The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others Davis won Macedonian League championship title for three years in a row (between 2012 and 2014). He was also voted Eurobasket.com Macedonian League All-Imports Team in 2013.

Davis graduated from University of Oklahoma in 2011 and it will be his fifth season as a professional player.

Ray Willis had previously played on that Finnish team.

Cade Davis was a damn good player. He just had to be the best player on a really bad team, when he was cut out to be the third or 4th starter on a really good team.

Yes, I agree. He was a damn good player and he showed it his last season when he was all we had.

It's a big adjustment going someplace new with no family closer than 10K miles away. TMG tried to play overseas and I don't think he lasted a full season. Now, he wasn't as mature as Dinjiyl and Dinjiyl has moved away from a support group 2 times already (juco and OU) so he's more prepared but like you said it's a tough racket. I think it would be fun but I'm 45 and love to travel (and I love basketball).

Walker can find some place to play but he isn't going to make more than he needs ot live. I'd take it in a second if I was him.
He isn't in the same league as Hollis and Ricky Grace though.

My daughter plans to do exactly what I described for Walker next year.
