Does anyone remember Homer's board?

It's the first OU basketball board I remember..... maybe 15 years ago. It was often called the "secret" board because it was pretty much by invitation to join. Homer was the first person to give us inside recruiting information and feedback on scrimmages. He may have been a student and moved on and got tired of hosting the web site.

I just wonder how many on here were members of that board maybe under different names?

Also, I remember we used to have a grad assistant under Kelvin post some great inside information on one of the boards. Kelvin eventually shut him down and I think he went on after graduation to be a HS coach. I can't remember his name. I used to PM him a lot and he would answer honestly.

I was a member many years ago. CoolM invited me to join. I was fairly new to fan boards back then.

EDIT: The assistant you referenced posted on this board under the name, gstrueouinsider. He did indeed share some great information with us.

He still posts here on occasion under another name, but I haven't seen him on the board in the last year or so. I also know his real name and how to contact him...or did once. I haven't communicated with him in several months. Maybe he'll read this thread and give us a shout out.

Yep...Homer's was the earliest hoops board I remember.

I remember some disscusion about the dissolution of that board a good while ago, but I don;t recall the specifics.

GStrue was a fixture on this board, not on Homer's board. He was our true OU insider for a couple of years or more.
