Merritt hasn’t done a lot in Juco ...
Victor I will be a true Fr .....
Garang is supposedly a RS candidate ...
Kuath has a back injury ....

Hell no. He’ll sit on the bench and provide emotional support, just as he’s done his entire OU career.

I’m so glad we went all the way to Finland to find a scholarship bench warmer. Spare no expense.

So you're telling me there's a chance... :ez-roll:

The better question is...will he get meaningful minutes of any kind?

And even then, it's probably no.

I suppose there is still enough time for him to transfer and start for a low level Div II team, if that is what you meant.

The think I'll never understand is... didn't we pass on this athletic 6-9 fairly highly rated guy to sign him? The guy was from Minnesota or somewhere up there and signed with somebody like Marquette. That dude, whatever his name is, could have really helped...

Don't scare me like that...I have a big file due on April 1 and thought I slept right through the last few days!

Theo John, and I believe John signed before OU signed Polla.

Hannes still has a chance to contribute in the next year or two, maybe even next season in a limited role

The question was “does he have a chance to start at the 5 next year.” I don’t see anyway that will happen. He has too far to go between now and the beginning of next season to reach that level. He will also have competition from better players.

Kur Kauth may have something to say about who will start at the five. My #1 candidate is Victor Iwuakor. He’ll be a freshman, but he is going to be a beast who plays with an incredibly high motor. In the end, one of the other bigs we’ve got coming in may win that job. I just don’t see anyway Hannes wiil be the one.

If I’m wrong, our front court is going to be really, really good next season!

Doolittle is a 5, and he's the best player on our roster.....mystery solved.

Doolittle is not a five. He’s a four who had to play the five after McNeace was injured.

If no one else is available, he may do it again next season. But, given a choice, I don’t think that is what Lon wants to do.

I said that in jest. I am fully 100% on the Doolittle is not a 5 train. However some will continue to argue that since he played center for us this year that he is a center.

Sorry, went right over my head. :) I should have known you were jabbing the Doolittle is a center crowd.

No matter who he replaces or where he lines up, Doo is a four, and a darned good one!

Yeah, if I remember correctly, John chose Marquette over us. We didn't turn him down. Maybe someone w better info knows something else but I think John turned us down rather than the other way around.
