Go to the roster above and look at doolittle’s picture. Now think about what he looks like playing games. I want to see the guy in the picture on the Court. I bet that guy is a reallly good basketball player. Even if he is not s Star, I am virtually positive he is better than the unhappy looking guy that is playing in games right now

I thought Doolittle would be averaging 10 points and 7-8 boards per game by now. I’m perplexed by his play. I was a huge buyer of his game last season.

I never dreamed Doolittle would struggle like this after averaging 9 and 6 as a starter last year. Heck, he was shooting right at 40% from the field and from three point range.

This team definitely needs to see a version of last year’s Kristian Doolittle!

I really don't get the Doolittle Hype. He went off in that one Texas game last year (who finished dead last in the conference), but past that he was pretty bad. If you remove that one Texas game, he shot 37% from the field and 34% from 3. He wasn't a good player last year, and any chance of him taking a leap this year were destroyed by him getting suspended for academic misconduct.

He was a good player last year

I think there's a difference between a good player on a bad team and a good player on a good team. I hope he can be the latter--and I think he can but it may be from rebounding and defense rather than consistent scoring.

Huge difference between a post player and a guard.

One of those differences being that a frontcourt player isn't expected to shoot nearly as well from 3. Given his age and position last season, I'd say his three-point shooting was more than adequate.

The fact that he had to spend so much time away from the team has been rough for him. There's one thing going to the local rec or the Huff and playing pick-up, and its a whole other level in practice even against walk-ons to now playing in meaningful big 12 games. But I thought by now, he should have figured it out. Seems like it will be a lost year for him, unfortunately.

He played on a bad team last year that was begging for players to take shots whenever they could.

TY is taking most of those shots now or James or Odomes or McGusty.

Doolittle just can't create his own shot. He is a spot up guy and he seems to have lost the 'edge' he played with last year.

Probably doesn't help the psyche to know you missed 1st half of season because you were caught cheating and everyone knows it

He's looked quite simply terrible this year. He did some good things Monday night but starting him was perplexing to me.

He's a better defender than Manek, even now, which is why I assume he started.

The funny thing is that many people are now down on Manek (not saying you, but going with a thought here), with many people saying that Doolittle was good last year as a freshman. Manek's freshman year > Doolittle's.

My point is he needs to find love for the game. He looks so unhappy. Nobody can excel when they are miserable
