Yes this isnt good that our whole team appears to be jumping ship. Its too bad that we are losing so much talent by potentially losing our top 3. It is understandable that people are going crazy about losing tmg, ww, tiny, BUT do we REALLY want these guys back? I say no! If they arent willing to work hard, play defense, play as a team, and put in the necessary effort to be a good team i say.."heres the door." i understand that this hurts and its making our future not look so bright, but if capel plays this smart we will be just fine.
If guys like ray(already gone according to fbk), allen, hardrick, whoever leave that shouldnt worry us either. Yeah it makes next years team rly thin but those guys(no offense to them), they are not big 12 caliber players. I hope allen doesnt leave bc i think he can contribute and hes a senior anyways so we will get his scholly back this yr. i think if he is gone it will be bc capel doesnt want him back. If capel doesnt want him back then neither do i. i think capel is a good guy and isnt out to get ppl; if capel takes away allens scholly then it IS bc he isnt willing to work hard and get in shape. It wont be talent based.
Now here is where capel NEEDS to be smart or he wont have a job for long. He needs to only offer ppl that can play big 12 basketball, willing to work, and not primadonas. He most def cannot sign ppl just to fill out our roster. Even if only sign 3 more good guys that is better than 3 good guys and 4 scrubs that will play only by default. If capel gets players like that then our future is gone for at least the next four years. Its the late signing period so we cannot expect to get a bunch of good players. We might suffer through next year with only 6 or 7 scholarship players but we will have plenty of time to sign ppl in next yrs class that can contribute. I am in no way saying,though, that if we can get 7 guys that can play at this level we shouldnt take them and hope to be decent and young next yr, BUT WE CANNOT SETTLE FOR LOW MAJOR PLAYERS!!!!!!!!!!!!
