Fire Porter Moser

That’s not how the money works.

Yes it is, and we've had this conversation many times. It's not hard to move money around and guys like Calipari have publicly said as much recently. Sure, it won't necessarily look like it on the official books, but for all practical purposes it is.

I don't think it's just a money issue there needs to be some sort of general manager that takes off roster management for the coaches. The only way we were able to salvage the end of the season was that we basically found 8 guys that were just enough to play positive minutes to win games. You need better roster construction and that is harder to do in this era with the way players move. We have key players we probably paid quite a bit like Atak and Rogers that basically couldn't cut it at the SEC level. Maybe we get that now and have something in place that can last past Moser and make the program better.
Brock is the gm

There's a lot of PR spin here, but I also appreciate Roger owning his part in raising money to make the program successful.

"But an underdog spirit will only take us so far. It’s my job to ensure that our resources match our expectations. We haven’t held up our end of that bargain. From NIL to staffing and beyond, we’re going to fix that."

We'll believe it when we see it, but Joe C never took responsibility for the success of the basketball program. Roger appears to be taking ownership.

If we raise $10M+ for NIL and make other changes but still go 19-15, it's on Porter.

Didn’t renew for 25-26, but still ended up going to 5 games. Probably will get season tickets again. Much as product has not been great, still had fun at live games.
Bring back the dude and his dog for halftime shows, that was a treat.

Jones is out of eligibility.

Nwanjwo wasn’t good enough this year, he needs to move on. Atak is never going to defend well. Forsyth is a bench guy at best. He’ll never be SEC starter quality. Rogers got pretty much no real experience this year. It’s a complete rebuild outside of Brown and Reid.

If we could keep a core of Brown, Forsythe, Reid, and Jones to build on, I would feel okay with that. I would like to keep Atak and teach him to play defense…
Agree with this, I find it hard to believe Atak will be back after how Moser used him down the stretch, but you never know.

As much as I don’t like Moser, I don’t think it’s the worst decision to see what he can do with a 10 mil roster. You’ll save a few million on his buyout next year if he doesn’t make the tournament. Those wins at the end of the season did just enough to get him one more year.

The decision will look much worse if they don’t sneak into the tournament though.

What a terrible decision

Did you support Moser during the team's 9 losing streak?
It was more questioning the direction. Having knowledge of what our nil was early on I was more surprised with how well we did at times. Getting top multiple good 5 is required to get through the SEC. I believe we were one or 2 players away to having an exceptional team. You need the extra talent and dearth to help compensate for the injuries you
will have. As for defense, I would hate to try and get 5 guys play 40 minutes of defense. Having worked with a great AAU coach I saw how hard it was to get players to play hard defense consistently. These days the money and ability to transfer makes it extremely difficult. We will see what happens next year.
