Fire Porter Moser

And just because now I'm curious and cannot help myself, I'll add a few more coaches that were discussed as possible options during last offseason and how they fit into this chart:

It appears the candidates last offseason were statistically far superior to the ones being discussed so far, unless we can nab Schertz.
Last year's pool of potential coaches was much superior to this year's. Had we not sneaked into the tournament and quickly lost, one of them would be coaching in Norman right now.

I believe Boulder mentioned earlier this month that we're down to about 4,000 season ticket holders......of which I am one. That's a far cry from the fun times. But at a secondary sport the willy-nilly fans can only take so many haymakers to the genitals before they find better things to do with their time....like watching the Panzer division disguised as an NBA team just up the road.
OU was at over 9k for most of the last 20 years .. so lots of the damage has already been done ..

Ive negotiated buyouts essentially (some dissolved business partnerships and acquisitions) here and there. You?

Actually I had a client that was in an oil and gas venture that we literally negotiated his buyout
Well aren’t you special
Tarmac. Tarmac. Tarmac. Tarmac. Tarmac. Tarmac. Tarmac. Tarmac. Tarmac.
man your killing me

I’m not all that confident that we’ll beat South Carolina. I know we should, but knowing Moser… it would not surprise me if he finds a way to lose. Maybe he’ll play Mo at point guard or sit Pack out the second half.

He found a way to lose.

Not sure how you can call these hires apathy:

Capel - One of the top young coaches at the time. Duke pedigree. Was certainly viewed as favorable at the time in the national media.

Kruger - A future HOF coach. Was brought in to turn the program around and keep us out of trouble with the NCAA. Probably stuck around 2-3 years too long, but that is a decision Kruger had earned, and was likely given seeing as how OU had to practically beg him to take the job.

Moser - I never liked the hire, but certainly one of the hottest names in the college basketball coaching market at the time. Again, probably was held on to too long, but with the conference change, NIL/transfer changes, and all that goes with Joe C. retiring, I can understand why he is still our coach.

Apathy when it comes to the hires? No chance, even if there were some bad hires. Apathy in how long certain guys were given? Maybe.
Apathy in regards to supporting them, wrt to how long they were given. From the outside he seems to have basically acted like his job was done once the hire was finished. I.e., a complete noob at actually managing any org of any size.

I’m going to be on a much-needed vacation all next week on a cruise ship out in the ocean completely off the grid. When I get back I want to see a new coach. If it happens before I leave, all the better.
