Fire Porter Moser

If they are going to give Moser another year because we get an NIT invite, I might be done with OU basketball for a while. That would be insanely stupid.

I'm almost to the point of sending Moser harshly worded emails telling him he isn't wanted here any more. Maybe he'll get the hint and leave on his own. The guy can't be happy here? Leave. Go home.
Promise?

Yea and I think some of the better bracket guys also have Auburn out. If if I knew it wouldn’t cost us another year of Moser, I’d definitely like to knock a team like Texas out, but they might be in barring a collapse.
My reading comprehension is getting worse the older I get. It almost sounded like you're pulling for the Sooners to lose to the whorns.

If I knew that a win over Texas would mean another year of Moser, I would absolutely want us to lose. (Hopefully we are past that point and we get the best of borth world: a win Saturday and a Moser tarmac next week). Unlike many OU fans, I don't spend much time thinking about Texas. Until Moser came along, we were a far superior program over the past 40 years, and our football program dominated them for over 20 years under Stoops and Riley. I hate Texas but that is secondary to wanting the best for OU.

Ask yourself this: was beating UT in Austin last year worth the awful season we have had this year? Because that win likely saved Moser's job. If you are so focused on beating Texas that you would willingly suffer an embarrassing full season in exchange for one win over a mediocre Texas squad, I would say you are the one with the misplaced priorities.

Guess my reading comprehension skills are not so bad after all.

I answered your question, now how about you answer mine. Are you so obsessed with Texas that beating them last March was worth having a season where we are 8-14 against real competition?

Orrrrr on the brightside, if we get stuck eith porter moron for more years, maybe we can then push him out at the same time Brian Dutcher's K is coming to a close and buyout dwindling..

@TEvans4Three can we add him to the spreadsheet for fun lol

I'll gladly answer your question. I'm no more obsessed with Texas than I am with smashing a stink bug under the heel of my boot. But I'll always prefer beating the whorns over losing to them.

I have said before on here, there are things about Moser as a coach I don't care for. But, I don't know enough, and don't think anyone on here does either, to make a decision related to terminating him prior to the end of his contract. Terminating a coach prior to the end of his contract is complicated and involves the consideration of many things, not just whether they have won enough. I trust Joe would have made a prudent and fair decision related to the matter. I don't know anything about Denny. But, I am confident the athletic department has enough information to make a decision. There is the manner in which he runs the program, the way he handles the kids, the financial issues, reasons other than the coach that has played a role in his success, and whether there is a candidate out there that would be better suited for the job.

Realistically, I wonder if we can afford the NIL and/or salary of a coach that can for sure win at OU right now. Maybe / Maybe not. Denny would know more than any of us about these issues.

Moser strikes me as a good guy (don't know him personally, so just public image), hasn't given "cause" to terminate this contract (as far as I know), and until this year, and as far as I am concerned, he has done about as much as could be expected under the circumstances he was given. This team has under performed IMO, but they have finally come around and are playing pretty well now. So, who knows. I am OK with whatever OU does with Moser. But, he certainly doesn't deserve to be fired prior to the end of the season IMO. It would be wrong for many reasons.

Technically correct. He deserved to be fired as soon as the TCU loss was complete in the play-in round of the Big 12 tourney two years ago. If not then, a few days later when he gave his whine-athon press conference. It absolutely was wrong of Joe to subject us all to two more years of this garbage.
