Fire Porter Moser

I truly do wonder what guys like Golden, and Oats would say if Kentucky calls in 2 weeks.

I honestly don't know how you say no to that job.

I'm sure OU Insider has extensively reviewed the financial reports for all 16 SEC teams, especially since that info isn't public. Those guys are never wrong, after all. That's why I won all kinds of money on my longshot Elijah Thomas Heisman bet last summer.
The tweet above isn’t from an ouinsider, it’s from a Louisiana sports person. Agree that the ou insiders generally make stuff up

I’m sure these numbers aren’t 100 accurate but I bet this is generally the order of nil spending.

Peep the bottom of the photo boss, numbers came from OU insider.

NIL isn't public information. I don't trust anything that is published.

I don't see how OU could go grab 4 starters from the Portal, including a guy that is established and has been a starter on a Final Four team (Pack) and only spend that amount of money. Doesn't make sense.

Rather than look at NIL, try recruiting ratings. Tell me where OU sits with that. The roster has plenty of talent. We all thought that before the season started. Some bunk NIL rumors, a 9 game losing streak, and a disappointing season doesn't change that fact.

Agree. Four starters, all highly ranked, and all of whom had other offers. And we aren't Houston -- we aren't getting guys for a discount because they are coming to play for a great program and for a coach who is great at developing players. I'd guess we spent several million just on those guys, plus whatever we spent to keep Mo and Dayton. And I would guess JN had offers in the tens of millions based on our insider reports.

You can tell the numbers are made up because there’s no way so many teams spend exactly $10 million LMAO.

The graphic doesn't say that. It says $10M+..an open amount greater than 10M.

The only way the numbers are accurate is if all of the On3 beat writers are sharing amongst themselves what their respective schools spent.

I think our four starters probably account for 2/3’s of our total NIL budget. It doesn’t take a rocket science to figure out the rest of our roster didn’t cost too much though. I’d bet my left nut we are in the bottom 4 in the league in NIL spending.

Ah just noticed the little plus sign. It’s still hilarious if anybone thinks this is accurate.

And still we have plenty of talent. If not for the piss-poor coaching we could have a nice seed in the tournament.

Sadly, I do think our number is accurate. $6.5M seems right for this roster.

Pack - $1.5M
X - $1M
Reid - $1M (huge overpay)
Davis - $1M

$2M to split amongst everyone else.

Source for this?
No source, just going by On3's NIL evaluation for the top stars. If AJ Dybantsa is $4M, JT Toppin $2.8M, Cameron Boozer $2.3M...here is how I think our guys should fall in line with those evaluations. On3 will still have industry accurate ranges for NIL evaluations even though it may not be the exact number.

Yeah everyone keeps making assumptions about this but nobody knows. The numbers are not public.

Don’t worry Steven…I’m by no means tooting PM’s horn, ffs. This team def should have another 3-4 wins…but may have said all along (me included), that this roster was short of an impact post player. Ideally, Wague is your back-up…not your starter. If we had a quality post, who had size and rim protecting ability…then you have a roster that could finish in the top 5 of this conference…with the right coaching. This team typically played well when we got production from the post position. Quality posts aren’t cheap.

I’m not worried but I disagree, especially now that we have KE. This team sinks or swims based on our ability to make 3 pointers. Mostly because our coach is a moron who doesn’t demand defense and has no backup plans.

We got 3 starters. Pack Tae and Brown. Reid did not start at Bama. Reid started 3 games.
