Fire Porter Moser

You dont think he's interviewed Porter?

Stephenson, Prez, Joe, BMD's

You think he just ChatGPT an answer and rolled with it?

Its literally his first major decision... You think he wants to F it up?
****ing it up would be firing Moser, watching him have success somewhere else, and hiring a guy that also didn't have success.

Keeping Moser for another season, paying lip service to resources blah, blah, blah, that is the SAFE play. Safe because he can completely reverse it 12 months from now, for a lower buyout.

Didn't you know that Message board posters are way smarter than any of these guys in position?
I know.

Hard to wrap my head around thinking someone/many right here on this board wholeheartedly believes it.

Maybe one of these guys are Sam Presti burners

Look at one time this year I was for firing Porter probably along with 99% of the board especially during the 9 game losing streak. But we need to really fix the problem first and then a year or maybe two from now if we have to move on from Porter we can do that but have it to where the next staff can come right in with either the money or at least maybe a department making it easier to get the roster you want in right away.

The big issue with OU basketball is in this era you probably at least need NIL and probably some sort of GM managing the roster.

I think everyone agrees OU basketball is a very difficult problem. But I don’t believe the guys in position have figured out how to solve it for quite a while. We’ll see how Denny does and I hope he at least gets it going in a better direction.

you can't fix it with moser as coach

For the billionth time: the roster this year was NOT the problem. We had plenty of talent but they were poorly coached. It became so obvious the last month of the season. Moser might be the worst in-game coach I’ve ever seen and it took him nearly the entire year to figure out the best rotation. He won’t take us anywhere except back to the bubble.

We only got to a state where we were good when we found 8 guys that weren't a minus against decent teams. Basically half the roster was unplayable for a lot of SEC play. Saying that the roster wasn't the problem is pretty dumb. I don't think you can just have a coach redo a roster every year and have it work. You can't develop guys like you could in the past because of the current environment. In the Big East, Big 10, Big 12, ACC, and SEC you probably have 25 athletes that stay at a school for 4 years now. You need to have a better set up to even compete in this day and age.

It’s the coach’s job to figure out how the pieces fit way before we get deep into league play. It also helps to play actual competition in the OOC, also a coaching failure. But I would probably settle for a guy who can design a passable inbounds play.

Honestly with how players aren't sticking around anymore I'm not sure you can just do this with coaching like you used to.

It's pretty telling that we're talking about this roster as a huge upgrade in talent, which it was, yet we were still bottom third in spending for conference.

And I'm saying this as somebody that has unwaveringly said this should be Mosers last year if we miss the tourney.
