I'm pretty sure I saw something on twitter about some camps and such ran by Trey Slate. I'm guessing the NCAA frowns on those such things which leads me to believe he's off the team so he could get started with his basketball coaching career. Obviously all just conjecture on my part.

I saw some similar tweets, though it didn't occur to me at the time what they might signify. I suspect you're right.

One of the ga's from last season got a head coaching job at one of the small colleges around close. He offered trey a scholarship and took him along. Trey will be a star and help his new coach win some games
