I don't think this will be a problem unfortunately... thanks Loser MoserThey just can't get out of their own way and keep embarrassing themselves. Fan appreciation................give me a break. Here's how to show appreciation:
1. How about a preseason intrasquad scrimmage open to season ticket holders and hold it in Mcasland so the rest of us who aren't BMD or students can watch a game in there.
2. How about scheduling us someone above 100 in NET ranking in the non conference to show you appreciate the fans and want to reward them.
3. How about not having a screeching girl that sounds like an 8th grader and knows nothing about basketball emceeing. Here OU marketing, let me do your job for you. Want to get interest in the basketball program? Have a guest OU football player emcee the game. Think Kip Lewis wouldn't generate some excitement? Think the football team wouldn't show? Think the students wouldn't show? Think the fans wouldn't show? And then do it every second or third game, get some excitement in the students, fans and team. After all, we pay them NIL money now right?
4. If you are going to have free for all nights then reward the season ticket holders with a refund or voucher or something instead of saying well everyone else gets in free but we already have your money so sorry.
This really isn't that hard if you just give a damn about basketball fans.
By the way, if you happen to be a season ticket holder prepare to get in a fight to sit in your seat tonight.
I do hope they figure out a way to make sure season ticket holders get their seats without drama. You’d think that would be the first emphasis after what apparently happened the last time they did this. But I seriously doubt the place will be very full.I don't think this will be a problem unfortunately... thanks Loser Moser
It doesn't have to be full to have a problem sitting in seats you paid for. Just takes the right free admission jerk to want to argue with you.I don't think this will be a problem unfortunately... thanks Loser Moser
Fair enough. Hope there aren't any issuesIt doesn't have to be full to have a problem sitting in seats you paid for. Just takes the right free admission jerk to want to argue with you.
Interesting, I have never been told that. I only buy regular seats with no additional donation for basketball so maybe I don't rate access to that information. That would be a welcome sign if they did do that. Not OSU game, but another weather effected game as I season ticket holder I was told to head to east side floor area. They were reserving those for season ticket holders.
Sorry, but this is just weird. Weird for feeling like you would even get or need a refund, and weird that you'd email them and make life harder on somebody that is just doing their job. OU isn't running their basketball program poorly because you aren't getting refund. No school in a similar position would offer you a refund or any other concession.Sent the ticket office an email asking how I will receive my refund as a season ticket holder who has already paid for tonight's game. I'm just doing it to be ornery because I knew I would get the same response as I did last time.
"Season ticket holders will not be recieving a refund for this game. All season tickets are at a much discounted rate and unfortunatley since the game is still being played, we are not able to process any refunds."
I responded with "much discounted" isn't the same as free is it? Just refund me the "much discounted" amount. I also noted they might want to use spell check if they don't know how to spell.
The embarrassment from this program isn't just on the floor!
Main roads and highways are fine. Neighborhood roads are passable but certainly not fully melted.I don't live there. How are the roads supposed to be tonight? Are they ok enough for people to drive over from Arkansas for a 6:00 game? Or, are the ok enough for people to get there from OKC?
Yep just your opinion. No other school would give free admission to one of their events. And maybe you aren’t a season ticket holder that experiences dealing with the ticket office on a yearly basis. If not, I can maybe see how you wouldn’t get it.Sorry, but this is just weird. JMO.
I can't think of any event where somebody buys a ticket, the event still happens, and whether they reduce the ticket prices or give them out for free, the original purchasers get anything done for them. Not in sports. Not with concerts. Not with any other event. It's sad that you would event suggest it.Yep just your opinion. No other school would give free admission to one of their events. Sorry you think it’s sad. That’s the point, nobody but OU makes an event free after people have paid except OU. It’s sad to me you would pay for admission to something then when it’s made free say oh well.I can't think of any event where somebody buys a ticket, the event still happens, and whether they reduce the ticket prices or give them out for free, the original purchasers get anything done for them. I have football season tickets. I have had them since 1999. I've had no problems.
