Friday's NCAA slate

Looks like Texas will pull this one out. Oakland almost hit a 3 that would have made it a 1 possession game. 83-75 43 seconds left.

Looks like the president is forcing a split screen. Texas is up 85-79 less than 10 seconds left. I think it's actually 1 second, but I can't tell.

On TBS, Notre Dame 34, Akron 30 at the half.

Akron guy just gave ND a monster block.

Well I feel like an idiot for picking Tenn...

Michigan is up by 30 with about 4 minutes left.

these games are a fricking snoozefest.

someone start a fight or something

Yesterday's first sessions were so good. Since then it's been a let down. Gus Johnson helps out the Nova/Mason game a bit. But it's now Nova by 8. Akron is giving the Irish a game.

A large portion of the Midwest would believe you're referring to Ohio if they heard you talking about OU.

I grew up in Michigan and that was certainly not the case when I was living in that part of the country. People knew and respected Oklahoma. (This was in the 70s.) The big boys back then were Oklahoma, Nebraska, Michigan, Ohio State, USC, Texas, and a few others. Ohio is pretty irrelevant in sports and the people in that part of the country know it. Oakland is actually in the Detroit area and I don't think I ever heard someone refer to it as OU.

I was mostly kidding with you anyway. I am sure there are some very misinformed individuals residing in Ohio, Oregon and perhaps a few other places that mistakenly believe OU refers to some school other than Oklahoma. Sometimes kidding doesn't go over so well on the internte.

I certainly wasn't taking your comment seriously or personally.

Finally some compelling games

Nova leads 43-42 about to be the under 12 timeout.

Arizona up 41-38 at the half. That game should go down to the wire.

Nova/Mason 54-51 less than 2 minutes left
