Saw she was a big scorer in K-States' upset of Iowa.
Was her parting from OU amicable?

GG is this weeks player of the week in the Big 12. If she had not been hurt last season, I think she would be starting at OU.

She sure put on a show. She was everywhere doing everything! Happy for her.

Not that I have an inside scoop, I don't, but my impression from her time with Jennie and the team, I would think so.

As an aside, I believe her issue is chronic. It was not easily diagnosed but one of the doctors who treated her had seen it before. I figured she left because the uptempo pace would probably limit her time due to her condition.

Have no idea if that assumption is correct. I am glad she is doing well at K-State. Hope she can stay healthy.

From what I understood Gabby transferred. She did not want to. She and her family are big time OU people. She grew up dreaming to play here. Despite her issues last season she could have played but did not seem to fit in JB offense so she chose to move on. It is never easy when athletes do this. But she is thriving in Mitte’s offense. Players need coaches to believe in them. JB did not. Mitte does. She is home.

I believe this to be accurate. You could see her frustration last year after she recovered from the ailment. She was only given small opportunities to play, and it affected her body language. She was always supportive of the team, and never let her frustration boil over, but you could see she probably wasn't in the future plans of our current coach....glad she's thriving.

Honestly, I don't see much of a notable difference in OU and KSU's style of play. I've seen them play 3 games this year, most recently their loss to Arkansas, who is another team that gets less respect than they deserve btw. I think we'll have a tough time beating KSU actually, especially if we turn the ball over as much as we have lately. I just hope for the remaining games we are at least COMPETITIVE, unlike the Utah game :(

All we have to do is hustle more on defense and try harder on rebounding...seems simple, but for some reason we really struggle with the simple things!?

It is two different things to talk about the need to play better defense and to rebound better than to teach the fundamentals, set expectations and demand they achieve it. I suspect Jennie lacks focus on all three.

It might be good for Jennie to watch a few of Porter Moser's practice to see how gets defensive results and rebounding from a team with very limited length has managed to marginally win the boards in every game while the girls have won the boards against only BYU, UT Arlington and Arkansas State.

Those concerns will be magnified come the Ole Miss game 12/4/22 followed by the conference season on the 31st.

You are absolutely spot on. Was reading yesterday about a transfer from George Washington who averaged 16+ points a game last year. He has trouble getting minutes at OU because Porter Moser stresses defense.
