GAME 14 - SEC OPENER #10 OKLAHOMA (13-0) @ #5 ALABAMA (11-2) 5pm CST on SEC NETWORK

We either give up an easy layup or we force them into a tougher shot so they can get an offensive rebound for an easy layup

Just out muscling and out hustling us to every offensive rebound.

There have been times where we’ve blocked out and the ball hits the floor and they still get to the ball first.

Bad energy and effort on the defensive end all night.

Not that I’m happy… but Fears getting a little payback on playing def drives.

The kid is great but he always used his off hand, honestly I’m surprised he doesn’t get called for that more.

We have been called on several allyoops. What is it that we are doing? Are we blocking out thinking it’s a shot?

Is the rebounding problem a skill/size issue or a philosophy issue?
Rebounding almost always comes down in large part to effort and emphasis. Size obviously helps but finding your man, sticking your butt into him, and blocking out hard can go a long way in overcoming that. Some of the best rebounders aren’t particularly tall.
