GAME 16 - OKLAHOMA (11-4) @ Texas A&M (12-3) 2:30pm CST on SECNETWORK

I love OU basketball, years past talent has been the main issue. This team it isn’t, lack of effort on defense and the absence of coaching on offense is just disgusting. I think I’m an idiot believing this team will still come together but the product the last 2 games makes you think about the person in charge of this thing.
You see glimpses. Cant deny the potential is there. And the offense was good for a majority of the game. But the last few minutes was just mind boggling bad.

This loss, in a vacuum is fine. I think AM is gonna finish in the top five of the SEC. We would all be okay if this team hadn’t lost to Arizona State and Mississippi State.

Well he’s the same coach he’s been the last 4 seasons. We have a big enough sample size to conclude that he will never be a good coach at OU. He can go be mediocre somewhere else.

Really? A&M didn’t really impress me at all. I don’t think they finish in the top 5.

Edited to add: OSU beat them by 24.

Same bunch of tools that wanted Sampson fired. If you want someone to blame, blame the lack of funding and fan support.
Oh my gosh.. there it is.... yes, if only loser moser had an unlimited amount of money so he could have a lineup of all Americans like the rest of our prior coaches had too..

The most tired ridiculous argument that somehow keeps permeating this board. OU fans try. OU fans WANT to support basketball. But why in the hell would they? Every time OU does have a great turnout at home Moser like clockwork snatches defeat from the jaws of victory, or just has a terrible performance overall. He loses loses loses. I'm not denying that OU has front running fans, but Moser nowhere near deserves any fan support. OU fans like tough teams with an identity that win. It's been done here many times by many different coaches before.... yes, in this arena. We're on year 5, he can't do it. Not only does he lose he can't beat anyone OU fans want to beat, besides OSU...and I don't really care about them. His record against Texas, Texas A&M and Texas Tech is putrid.

Get the hell outta here with that crap.

Another glaring example of Loser’s ineptitude is the fact that almost every player he has coached for multiple years has regressed or stagnated. Dayton is a disaster. Groves x 2. Los and Oweh. Godwin. There were a couple others in his first two or three seasons. Moore seemed to improve the first half of last season but then struggled the rest of the way.

Dayton and Uzan are the most glaring to me

It also struck me today that West Virginia yet again beat KU today. That was another team Loser couldn’t beat, but all kinds of Big 12 coaches have gotten them as they have come back to earth the last few years.

Lol thanks for more non-sequitur KU commentary

ou fans are far from the best in the country....far...very far.
and it's tempting to agree with the poster because fan support/home court advantage is a thing...
but we have too many examples of moser losing in front of some very good crowds at home.

My worst experience of that was when I drove down for the Texas game a few years ago. The arena was almost full and pretty electric. It wasn’t like some of the Tubbs’ crowds (at times) but it was very good. It wasn’t that we lost that was so bad - it was that we were totally inept and outcoached by none other than Rodney Terry - who Porter personally tried to make coach of the year on many occasions.

There was one point in the game against Mississippi State where Moser was mic'd up and going over what we should be doing in a huddle and I saw Nigel pack looking at him as though he were speaking a different language. I was cracking up watching it. Pack has had two other coaches that I'm sure were better than Moser and I wonder what he's thinking about last stop and if it was a mistake??

I still can’t believe he let the game completely get away from them without using a single timeout even though he had three left. That, and sitting Pack, are two of the most indefensible decisions imaginable in that situation.

If anything, he is incredibly lucky there is fan apathy and no media coverage of the team. If he coached this poorly at a place where the fans were passionate and the beat writers paid more attention to a conference basketball game than a high school football all star game, he would likely have been fired a couple years ago. As is, he flies under the radar other than with passionate fans like those of us on the board.

That’s very very true. Look at what Pope at Kentucky is going through. He’s literally gonna be tarred and feathered one year after making the Sweet Sixteen 😂

they have funding look at the guys we got out of the portal the roster and talent are good
Yes, that's something else. They have to have had an influx of financial support, because some of these guys are high profile transfers. It doesn't appear he's relegated to the computer geeks or guys nobody's heard of from tiny schools. No excuses any more, as if there ever was to this extent.
