GAME 32 - OKLAHOMA (19-12) vs GEORGIA (20-11) 8:30pm CST on SEC NETWORK (the Post Season has Arrived)

I can do both… enjoy the run and want porter to find a new home.

Fears is auditioning for the nba, OU will have 6-8? New guys next year with our best player gone. We can’t keep living on 1 yr portal guys for 80% of the roster.

Just my two cents, but I can do both.

You can have your take. That’s your prerogative. It’s my prerogative to think it’s dumb.

In regards to roster building that’s college bball in the NIL era. Nobody likes it but that’s the reality unless you have a large enough NIL budget.

Out of all the things Moser does poorly 1 thing he has done well is find players at lower levels that can play, at least Guards and Forwards. Size costs $$.

Great win! Happy OU is going dancing!

It's very evident some people on here want PM gone no matter what he does, gave decided he can't coach and their minds aren't changing.

Those people have a right to their opinion.

I don't think PM is the best coach and don't agree with everything he does. I don't care for his offense and I think his inbounds plays (especially on the offensive baseline) are atrocious. I do think he has been handcuffed by NIL $$ to an extent. I think this is a bigger factor in our roster building than some on here want to admit but I also think he has dropped the ball a few times on some players. I think he has done a good job getting guards who can play in the portal though.

I'm ok if he leaves but I'm also interested in the newcomers we have next year. I don't think Fears comes back, but if he does and Kai Roger's is as good as I think he will be, we have the makings of a good roster. I'd like to see us get another big in the portal.

Either way I hope we beat UK tonight!

maybe so, as far as roster building, but the top schools don't replace 8 guys every year (in this short NIL experience with an established coach)...and 2 of our guys went to better programs. I don't want OU to be a feeder school.

He did get Fears and I'll agree his guards are playing well, I'll be interested to see how next year goes. The dude is BARELY over .500 for his 20+ yr career, at smaller schools.

Yes, I'd love to see OU beat the cats...

One of my best friends is a Loyola alum and fan. He told me Porter always saves one spot on the roster just in case a guy like Fears becomes available. So I think you have to give Porter a lot of credit for that one.

First, I have quit worrying about what OU does with Porter. Just choosing to enjoy the run for however it lasts.

Second, I think we are watching the birth of a real superstar in Fears. We will see. No way he stays, but wouldn't it be fun to see him as a sophomore.

Third, as all the regulars on this site knows, I have been beating the drum for Wague to be used more and last night is what I envisioned he could do. To be sure, you couldn't and won't get that every night, but in games when you do, regardless of the opponent's frontcourt, you will be competitive there. defensively.

Fourth, I just can't see anyway we can beat Kentucky. But, I also thought that the last time we played them and we very easily could have beaten them. and nearly did So, here's to hope. It springs eternal. Just having fears gives us at least a puncher's chance.

Fifth, besides getting to watch Fears, I think the best thing about this team has been the play and, most importantly, the leadership of J. Moore. He has held this team of vagabonds together, kept them positive and never quit. Played a big role in the development and growth of Fears, and I think has played a big role in keeping these kids more team oriented and less selfish. If we make the NCAA tournament, we will owe a big debt of gratitude to Moore. Great kid too, my wife and I got to meet him at the practice we went to and he just has a great personality and is very engaging. I really hope he can find a way to play basketball for a living.

I'm very interested to see who comes back. I'm particularly interested in seeing the two injured ones we missed all year.

We have a 4 year sample size of him not being a good coach. The team has obviously played better the last couple of weeks but that doesn’t negate all the terrible and inconsistent coaching over the last few seasons. And if the story about McCollum is true I really have lost a lot of, if not all, respect for him.

Will be interesting to see if the non-Kentucky fans cheer for OU tonight. That would offset their pseudo home court advantage.
Rarely happens during the main part of the game. Not in most fans’ DNA. However, if we are battling them down the stretch I could see it happen in last few minutes. This is my experience from Big 12 and Big 8 tournaments anyway. I did, however, see KU fans show up in decent numbers to root for Colorado against OU in the Big 8 Championship in (I think 1990) after OU clobbered KU in the semis. Not that it did them any good. But that is a different situation.
