This makes it all the sadder that we are so bad that we can’t even sniff the bubble in a terrible bubble year. Also, it’s a losing battle, but it’s another great example of why expanding the tourney is an awful idea. And shows how lame it was Moser to whine about the committee in past years. When you’re a power conference team and can’t play yourself into the field without leaving any doubt … just shut up.

Better product night in and night out. These are the number of teams who have exceeded a Ken Pom net rating of 30:

• 2023: 0 teams
• 2024: 3 teams
• 2025: 6 teams
• 2026: 9 teams, with 10 teams over 29

In 2023, the net rating of the 25th ranked team was 17.78. In 2026, #25 Arkansas has a net rating of 23.00, which would have been good for top 10 in 2023.

The Arizona/KU game is fun. Talk about some good interior play. Sucks that Peterson is sick but even without him, it’s been a very entertaining half.

Wonder if Loser watched any of that game tonight. Down the stretch, KU managed to break the press and immediately get the ball to their best FT shooters over and over. It’s almost like they are coached how to do that.

Some of that is games available in more traditional means. More games on traditional channels, Fox and even some cable TNT. I would not purposely open peacock to watch college basketball unless ou, but have turned my tv and had it on fox for so some none ou games.

i'm pretty sure OU has done free pizza and beer night. Not sure if it was under Moser but it doesn't seem like that long ago

Porter most certainly has his issues as we all know by now...but he has worked hard to get students to the games. No one can fault him on that effort. I get it, we have laid some eggs in big home games several times...but I have never understood why at least our student section can't be more involved. When I was in college...I LOVED going to sporting events. It was part of the fun! Was the team better back then, absolutely...but WTF else are you gonna do??? The mindset that I'm not going to support a certain team unless they are ranked in the top 25 is extremely weak imo. THere's plenty of time to go drink and party with your friends. Our student fanbase is below avg imo. Heck, I recall when you could leave football games at halftime...half the students never even came back. Lame.

I saw that too! Talk about coaching malpractice. Since Tang’s first season, it’s been nothing but downhill. Looks like he’s a fraud…and they’ve been able to spend some decent $ to acquire talent.

Agreed. I don’t see that happening though. Even if Porter got this team on a crazy run, and somehow got us in the tourney (highly unlikely), I just feel he’s already lost the fan base…and that has to factor into this decision. We need new energy and excitement back in the b-ball program.
