I'm going to assume that the target demographic for the site is toward kids based on the name and the design. I think its a smart move to start trying to build a a bigger fanbase/

The Thunder's presence has to have basketball at an all time popularity high in this state, especially among kids. With the impending NBA lock out this is site is likely designed to hopefully help pull in kids who will miss watching Durant, Serge, Westbrook, etc.

Will be interesting to see if they pull it off.

It's egregious. The whole site is an eyesore.

But I hate to focus on that. Provided they keep updating it regularly with new content, it's a net plus. OU Basketball's online marketing efforts have gone from terrible barely more than a year ago to quite good. This is another step in the right direction provided they follow through with it.

Probably. But if so, it would probably be wise not to use the two most prominent spots on the site to try and sell tickets.

I like the idea, I just don't think it's been executed 100% correctly. At least initially.
