Goff not going to class?

Yes, he posted it last night in the aTm game thread. A few of us were floored by his comment because he basically said he would rather have our situation of an elite 8 and 2 losing seasons than to have aTm's situation of 7 straight first round wins in the tournament without an elite 8.

He qualified the statement by adding the part of wanting to be able to fill out a bracket knowing he could pencil his team into at least the elite 8. A few of us questioned him further giving him a chance to change his stance but no dice.

Holy S*** that is the stupidest thing i have ever read on this board. Good god

Most people were picking OU to lose to Syracuse that year. I said Tony Crocker would go off on Syracuse which he did. I love when bold low odds predicitions come true.

Don't know about his class attendance, but Goff played in Hutch's game last night and scored 5 points. See box score at the bottom of the story...

I also believe that is Goff in the picture. He's #24.

Well, if he's skipping class then it won't affect his eligibility until the semester is over. It's not like high school when my coach used to make players eligible based on whether they were currently passing a class or not.

Hopefully, since he's still playing he knows he can't play at the college level if he doesn't go to class, but this could be the reason he went to JuCo anyway (not very smart).

Playing is good news. I am not sure scoring only 5 points is all that promising.

Does Goff even start for Hutch?

He's started 18 of 23 games per their stats site. Although, I'm not sure it's up to date. I think they've played more than 23 games at this point...

FWIW, here's Goff scoring two of his five points last night....

well I guess he's got at least 1 leg up on Nick's skill set.

I haven't paid much attention to the kid to be honest. I only linked that article for the guys like me who didn't know he had kids/future wife.

If Goff has kids, I have to believe he knows the importance of going to class.

He will be an upgrade just on athletic ability. If he can come in and play a Jabari Brown role (minus the pot smoking) with defense, bothering shots, putbacks and dunks I will be happy. No need to write him off without him playing a single minute.
