Goff update thread

Hutchinson defeated Northwest-Shoals 99-77 tonight.

Goff lead the Dragons in points with 23 on 10 of 13 shooting from the field and 3 of 5 from the charity stripe. He also was the high rebounding man with 11.

That's a positive note. His juco team is stacked with some really good guys so he's not going to have the overall stats as maybe some other juco players who are on bad teams. However, it's good that he is showing he can be productive.

Joe Mitchell for Hutchinson can ball, tough little 6'1 combo guard who is good off the bounce. Ohio got a good one in him.

Goff only has 4 points, 1 rebound and 2 fouls in the first half vs Harcum.

Hutchinson apparently streams all their games on ustream

Goff finishes with 6 points, 4 rebounds, 1 assist (came on the break, better handles and vision then I expected from the big man) 5 fouls and at least one block.

Had a massive alley oop on the break, kid has ups and can run.

Also Joe Mitchell can play, really like his game. 31 points, 11 boards, 7 assists, 3 steals. 15-17 from the line. Wish he wasn't signed with Ohio, I think he would have had the potential to play the point for us.

Hutch won 117-84.

Hutch is ranked 2nd in the nation.

OU is also looking at two 2012 players on the Hutchinson roster, guard Mark Braden and forward Quantel Denson.

Ya Joe Mitchell might have signed a little early. He could have been a good that waited until the national tournament, signed late, and been playing major D-1 or at least a better mid-major.

This my second time to watch Mitchall and I'm really being sold on him as a guy who could play for us next year at the point. His handles seem ok and he is good at drawing fouls and will hit his free throws. Too bad he's already signed.

Outside of free throw shooting really good first half for Goff.

14 points (6-8 FG, 2-8 FT), 8 rebounds, 4 assists and 1 steal.

He's been really active on the glass on both ends, show a little hook shoot as well on offense. Really likes to get out and run off rebounds and steals.

Hutch is crusing in this second half up 82-64 with about 9 minutes left. Goff played some early and has been seen on the bench since then.

16 points, 11 rebounds, 4 assists and 1 steal.

Not sure if Robert will go back in the game as they play again tomorrow night as well.

His juco coach generally has a balanced lineup, so you may see him with great numbers one day and maybe someone else with great numbers the next. I have been encouraged by his stats this year.
