Grandstaff highlights

He moved Cousins to the Point b/c a PG with Cousins height and ability to get to the rim is the type of PG that wins National Championships. Also, moving Woodard to the 2, you basically have 2 pg's on the floor. Woodard is still getting around 4 assist a game.

Woodard is going to have to work on taking guys off the dribble b/c he will be our best player next year and he's not going to get a lot of open shots like he gets this year b/c Buddy and Cousins won't be here to take the pressure and draw double teams.

Agree 100%. I was saying LK isnt making choice based on NBA projections. I promise

Woodard will be back at PG with Strong and McGusty backing him up. Strong is a scorer first and will take some time to be a good distributor.

I can think of a lot of teams that didn't have 6'4 pg's that won NC's.

I didn't say a tall PG wins it every year!!! But a dominant PG wins it 9 out of 10 times. The Florida teams is really the only team in the last 10 years that didn't have a dominant PG. A good one but not dominant one.

Would you call Cousins a dominant pg this year?

How many JC guards have ever arrived and ready to go day 1 of the season? Not many at OU.

I to am guessing Woodard back to point next year.

5-2 Assist to turnover ratio, 13 points, 4 rebounds, 2 steals, 46% from 3, 44% from the field. Might not be considered dominant, but those are very good numbers. Only real negative is 60% from the line

I do. And I think him being at the 1 has given us a better opportunity of winning it all then him playing the 3(on the wing). He went through a slump but before and after he's been a difference maker. And even during his slump, we were still winning games. I think the end of the LSU game sums it up. Him running point allowed for a game winning shot.

Cousins never played the 3, he played the 2 last year.

And him running point didn't allow him to hit that shot against LSU. If Woodard was our pg, we still could have given the ball to Cousins (or Buddy) in that same situation, and let them isolate. Happens in the NBA all the time. Lebron isn't the pg in that situation, he is just running that isolation play.

Thats why I put on the wing.

I don't even know how you figure that him running the point had nothing to do with him hitting that shot.
