Griner goes for 50 vs. KSU

Yep but we still have the best PG in the league returning and an elite coach so we will be alright!
Been there, done that! We had DRob for a year after Courtney, and of course our own Coach who is elite in a lot of ways KM will never be. We had success, but we still came back to the pack, and so will the Bears.

I'm shocked when she doesn't score 50.

Yes. She is the Alcindor of Women's basketball.

I feel about Mulkey's handling of Griner about the same as I felt about Smith's handling of Jordan: Smith is the only guy that ever lived that could hold Jordan to less than 20 points in a game.

I've heard that smart remark from a lot of folks, but it is just that, a smart remark that doesn't consider the realities. (As a strong supporter of cowboysooner, I'm not blaming you for that widespread remark.)

The Jordan that played for North Carolina wasn't really a very good shooter. Jordan had ability, but had to learn to shoot, as well as to think about basketball. Wasn't it Jordan who dribbled out the last ten seconds or so of a title game thinking his team had the lead?

Griner had the same problem. She wasn't much of a shooter when she arrived at Baylor. To her credit, she worked hard and became a good shooter. By the time she leaves, she will be an outstaning shooter who went from a rather poor free throw shooter to one of the best. She really did work on her techinique.

So did Jordan, after NC. He wasn't a superstar coming out of NC which is why he wasn't the first choice.
