Interesting, article does mention that he repeated the 9th grade after moving to Gulf Shores, but it was for athletic purposes.
Never thought about this, but it sure would be easy to enroll in college a full year early if you were a decent student. Most of your core classes are out of the way, or can be finished the summer before your senior year in high school.
