Is anyone besides me concerned that the tough loss to Fexas will affect our game with West Virginia? Those lkind of losses are extra hard to get over. It is a quick turnaround also. The team probably got home in the wee hours this morning. Then they will leave tomorrow for Morgantown. It is a hard place to reach. I have been told you fly into Pittsburgh and bus a couple hours into Morgantown. A 10-1 record with our next 2 games at home would notr be bad. We could be 12-1 going into Sulkey Mulkey land.

Let me correct this. We would be 10-1 going to Baylor if we win the next 3.

In the absence of bad weather they should be able to fly to Morgantown as far as I know.

Although it could be a demotivator, I don't think that this group of players will treat it that way. I tend to think that some key players will approach the game with anger at losing. I don't think Gabbi and Maddie like to lose. I get the impression that Gioya and Peyton are like that. It could result in the opposite effect, a blowout in Morgantown.

About the only thing that WV is good at is rebounding, and they get plenty of opportunity since they are next to last in FG% and 3Pt%, and dead last in FT%. They aren't really a good defensive team. Oh. They do lead the conference in blocked shots. Texas Tech, whom we have beaten twice, beat them in Morgantown by 10 and in Lubbock by 16. They simply had difficulty scoring against Tech, 44 and 57.

I don't think WV has a chance to beat us. We might lose, but we will have to earn it.

I think seeing the Texas game slip away from them is motivation enough. I think back three years ago when Maddie lost the State championship in over time. During the award ceremony she earned the "queen of the tournament" as the most outstanding player. Watching her walk up to receive her award, she looked like someone who could care less. She was not happy about losing, and cared more for her team mates than an award. That is when she endeared herself to me as a future Sooner. I think all of the kids will be ready, and play a very tough defensive game. Now lets get that shooting stroke back and blow them off their floor.

I'm inclined to think they will be whizzed off and anxious to reassert themselves.

No. I think the loss will fuel them for the next half of confrence play.

I think the guys will be pleased to play so soon to flush the Texas loss. Also, Sherri will tell them they didn't lose to Texas, they were just outnumbered 5 against 8.
