Gone too soon - RIP Ava

After leaving the game, we were heading west on Imhoff and just past the baseball field there was a young girl, maybe 4-6 years old in OU gear, receiving CPR from a policeman on the side of the road. It didn't look good, the ambulance showed up just as we drove by. I have no idea what was going on, but it tore us up and we definitely were praying for her. I was hoping someone on here on the off chance knew or heard of this little girl's condition, its been weighing heavily on our minds, especially with having a little one about her age...

That is terrible. I also saw the ambulance, but had no idea the problem involved a young child. I was in a car heading North on Chautauqua, waiting to make a left turn onto Imhoff. We saw the medical people rush someone on a gurney into the ambulance.

My prayers go out to that child and her family.

Mine, too! Nothing is worse than seeing a child in an emergency situation. It doesn't have to be someone I know to tear me up inside.

Prayers out to the Robbins family. Can't even imagine...

Raised two girls and can't even imagine. I will pray and remember that God is the great healer!! Children tend to recover better than adults as well - they are very regenerative.

Oh no. Thoughts and prayers out indeed.

Oh my god. That is horrifying. I can't even imagine the sense of dread they must be feeling. I'll be sending thoughts and prayers their way.

That is the craziest thing. I have a 2 year old and me and my wife ad her were eating at our friends rib place and he's a doctor as well an he was just telling us a week ago that popcorn is the absolute worst food for a young child there is for this reason. This just solidifies my daughter never getting popcorn!! Ever! So sad though. Praying!!

Praying for her for a speedy and full recovery!

Thoughts and prayers. As the father of 2 young daughters this is horrifying. Hoping for a full recovery.

Oh, my goodness, how horrible!

My thoughts and prayers have already gone out and will continue to go out for little Ava and her family!

Hoping someone can keep us updated on the little girl. I was at the game with my two young kids and saw the emergency vehicles after the game. My kids love to eat popcorn, but makes me think twice about giving it to them again. Praying for this little girl to keep improving.

Just received word from my coworker that Ava passed this morning. So sad, so sudden... Hold your little ones tight tonight. Prayers with her family as this is a hurt and pain that I couldn't begin to comprehend.

So sorry to hear. I know at this age, she is in Heaven with God. Proverbs 3:5&6

So sad! I have no words for a tragic loss like this. Prayers for the family is all I can offer.
