Per Bossi from City of Palms tournament. The assistant coach there was Steve Hensen.

Hornbeak arguably didn't get enough shots as he went 7-of-9 for 15 points and also grabbed nine rebounds. An Oklahoma assistant was in attendance to watch the efficient production of the future Sooner.

Still no mention of OU by Jordan Mickey. Are we in on this guy or what? I really want to see him end up at OU.

You worry too much of the national perspective.
National guys barely mentioned Hield, Hornbeak and Henry as OU leans before they committed right?

OU's staff is making major in roads up and down I-35, let the chips fall where they may because these assistants are good at what they do.

Heck of a nice game turned in by a young man who will (thankfully) wear the C&C next year. It's easy to see why Kruger and company wanted him.

Bossi is right in that a kid who goes 7 of 9 from the field should have been given more opportunities. That's not easy, though, when every player on the team is a D-1 recruit. Whatever Jelon averages this season should be a pretty good barmometer of what he could do at the next level.

from the little i have watched of him i Love Hornbeak .. he is going to be a very very good player at OU ..

Hope you are right. Just seems weird that he never mentions OU. Called Kentucky his dream school in the article though they haven't offered yet.

I am excited about Hield and Hornbeak. I really think one of them will average 7 or 8 points a game off the bench. That will be a big asset to this team. Right now, OU really can't afford to rest Pledger much. Next season that shouldn't be an issue.
