Of tonight’s debacle. I’m just sad and depressed that we crumbled at the end of another conference game.

This would have been a great win for us and sent the message that we are a different team this year. Instead, we totally lost our composure and told the SEC that nothing has changed yet.

I know some will be happy that this result likely means it’s same story fourth verse and another coach is on the horizon, but that offers me little comfort. We’ve been on the brink of being an upper tier program multiple times in my lifetime, but we’ve always fallen just a little short. Some of it is on the team, some of it on coaching and administration, some on our university culture, and some on our fanbase.

Sorry for the over-reaction. I need a drink and better day tomorrow.

To be clear, my dream scenario is still that we make the tournament and then pm leaves and we get paid some amount of buyout even. pm has no long term future. It might have even been a curse if he rattled off a sweet 16 this year. I still wouldn't be able to root against that, but I'm acknowledging that it may lead to a Joe C curse of keeping/needlessly extending pm...

That’s absolutely fair. We all want OU to win. But we all can also see with our own eyes after 114 games that this man not only isn’t going to lead us to greater heights, he is woefully short of even maintaining the standards that every coach in the previous 35 years established.

Saturday will be interesting because he seems to pull a game or two out each season when least expected. It never leads anywhere because games like tonight more than offset it, but he usually comes up with a random win when things seem at their worst. But if we start 0-3, woah boy … imagine how bad the atmosphere will be next week to watch him get worked again by Texas.

There is zero chance OU beats Georgia on Saturday.

I’m not the type that wants the season to tank just for a coach to get fired. But it seems like an abysmal season is almost guaranteed now.
