If Buzz is indeed no longer an option

I think Johnny Jones would be the death nail of the program. He brings no interest in. He hasn't really won at North Texas all that much. Why is he getting any hype for the job at all?

Ever thought about how the guy actually COACHES?

Say what you want about Tad Boyle, but it's been really obvious from watching his team this year that those boys are prepared and well-coached.

Watch them in their stance defensively and their communication. On offense their movement w/o the ball is constant, their cuts are crisp, and they took good shots.

Whatever else you dislike about him aside the guy can certainly COACH...and that's more than I know about most of these others.

But we beat his team this year.....Home or away....Anyone that lost to us this year was a bad loss
 
No one heard Buzz say with his own lips that UT is his dream job. That was a second or third hand report. It isn't even Monday and everyone is giving up on Buzz. This needs a day or two to play out.

I dont think everyone is giving up on buzz because he said Texas is his dream job, I think everyone is giving up because of the multiple reports saying Buzz is staying at MU

Look aat Boyle's losing record at Northern Colorado. Not sure where your excitement is coming from regarding Boyle. He did a lot worse there than Jones at North Texas...
 
Boyle took over n colorado when they just started being a divison 1 school. Boyle is the reason northern colorado made the tourney this year. There's a reason Jones has been at north texas for ten years, no bcs schools want him.

FWIW, Painter got a raise last year (after already winning Big 10 coach of the year twice... won his third this year). He is STILL the 8th highest paid coach in the Big 10, and their AD is notoriously cheap. MU is apparently prepared to offer a contract that would increase his pay by $1million, and would also pay his assistants significantly more.

Purdue is also putting $100 million into their basketball facilities right now. Even after that's completed, they will be well below what Mizzou already has.

There's also speculation that Painter's interest in Mizzou had been expressed to Mizzou BEFORE Anderson left, which would be odd if he was just trying to leverage us into a better situation at Purdue.
 
Boyle is a good coach. I have watched North texas play a few times and it often reminded me of a chinese cluster-f*ck. Boyle >>>>>>>>>> Jones

Every time I read these posts I think of TU fans and John Phillips. Terry Evans is not ready. Love of school is not enough.

I agree, although Evans is better than Phillips IMO. And he seems to have a plan on what he would do and he also has some friends in the area to help his recruiting. I would take Evans over Jones or Martin.

bc I will bet you dollars to donuts that BCG is gonna spend ludicrous hours working on basketball (think Bill Snyder) ... something that picks programs up quickly and RMK hadn't done in decades.
