If OU Wins the NC?

Some will melt down after a loss, some will be happy to see us lose (thinking it takes pressure off), some believe that doubt in the team keeps them as an underdog and helps them by osmosis somehow, some are always positive no matter what happens, and some will complain about the slightest implied criticism of the team. We're all a little different. I definitely agree with you about not going undefeated. :ez-laugh:

So true, good summary of reactions! I feel I fall into two of your categories FWIW.

If OU wins the NC ... they will have scored 90+ points in the title game. ;)

Most Knight defenders limit the discussion to basketball, most detractors include their opinions of the actual man, and there lies the main difference. Some people just can't seem to separate the two.

There's more to being a good college coach than mere X's and 0's.

You're right... Knight was also never sanctioned for recruiting violations, always ran clean programs, and 98% of his 4 year players graduated college.

We were not a top 5 team in Hawaii on this trip. Fatigue may have been a factor but we were more inconsistent than in earlier games and got minimal help from the bench. Also got beat up by some bigs. Big concern going into conference.

We played 3 unranked teams and for 2 1/2 games we played them pretty even. Blew out Washington State after a pretty close first half.

Team has to adjust to being the hunted. When we play lesser teams we are going to get their best shot because of the ranking next to our name. Games vs the top 6 of the conference won't be a problem because we will be ready to play (not saying undefeated, only that we will play well) but I could see us drop a game or two to TCU or Tech because of this.
