What games would you include?

Off the top of my head, here are a few:

- last year's game with Seton Hall.
- 1987 OU-UNLV at LNC. I still think that's the greatest game ever played at Lloyd Noble,
- December 2000 - Arkansas at OU - took a miracle to even get it into OT, but OU won fairly comfortably in the extra session.
- 1977 OU-Mizzou. Still think it's the most historically significant game of that era, because it was not only a great game, it was also the first-ever LNC sellout.
- 1979-80 - OU beat Utah in a tournament on a last-second shot from Raymond Whitley, just four seconds after future pro Tom Chambers put Da Yoots ahead.
- 1989- the "no matter how terrible the officiating is" game with Mizzou, because OU was down something like 22-5 and came roaring back.
- 1998 (?) - the Iowa State home game, where OU was down seven with under two minutes to play.
- 2006 Bedlam in Norman, made famous by the hop-skip-jump dunk by Kevin Bookout and Sean Sutton's fish-flop.
- 2006 (I think) - the David Godbold miracle in Lubbock. That was the fade-away three, from about 28 feet out, that went in just ahead of the horn.
- 2002 - speaking of the Sand Ags, the OT win in Norman that Knight probably still thinks was deliberately stolen.

Feel free to add on to this list.

The last bedlam game at old GIA that Najera and company spoiled for Mason and company. Can't remember the exact year.

1999 - Arizona in the NCAA 1st Round - With 45 seconds left down one the ball is rolling on the ground, we recover, badly brick a three, Eduardo with a put back, then Arizona gets like 3 shots in the paint that would have won it a miss all of them.

GREAT choice.

It was extra-sweet for me because I hated Arizona with a passion when Olson was the coach. I was also sick of them because of a local kid named A.J. Bramlett who whined something fierce after they lost to UNM at the Pit earlier in the season, also by a point.

People may forget that Lute Olson's teams, while good, were really annoying because they got that "we're better people than you are" label from their own homer media (sort of like KU and Duke in basketball, Penn State in football, etc.). I also have relatives in Pac 12 country (then the Pac-10) who hated Olson because they thought he was a phony.

I thought it was Ryan Humphrey who had the put back?? My memory is starting to escape me!

Some of my favs are the OU/Mizzou when Tubbs called out the refs, the OU / LMM games from that era, OU/UNLV games of course and some of the OU/Hog games from early 90's.

I thought it was eduardo, I could be wrong. I am going off memory also. Either way it was a heck of a win

Edit. Just found the game on Youtube, Edaurdo Missed his put back and it was tipped by Ryan. I also forgot that Arizona stepped over the line in bounding that gave us the ball back after Eduardo hit a three to cut it to 1

Baylor when Crocker hit the four point play and Jarrels missed two free throws! The place was rockin!

Back to back games in Sampson's first year. Big Monday against #1 KU with Abercrombie hitting the big 3 followed by Big Country's last game at LNC. Went to overtime and, after fouling everyone assigned to guard them, Minor and Country were forced to guard each other.

The back to back wins against #1 KU and #1 Mizzou in 1990, I believe. Only time that has ever been accomplished.

1984 NCAA Tournament
Wayman beat LaTech and Karl Malone on a last second shot that bounced around on the rim forever.

there was a game against Nebraska (I think) in the early 90s, probably 91 or 92, when OU was down 7 or 8 with less than a minute to go on the road and OU came back to win. That should not have happened.

I'm pretty sure that was '92. Brent Price came up big in that one.

Another one that I just thought of came in 2001 (I believe), in Manhattan. OU was down three late in regulation, and somehow pulled off the "make a FT, miss the second one, rebound it and score" play. Drew Lavender also beat them with a coast-to-coast dash in 2006.

1985 Sweet 16...embarrassed my mom who had friends over for coffee as I was jumping up and down like a kid (I was 22).

Another one was the 1989 Big 8 Tournament against Iowa State. Down 2, Tyrone Jones hit a 3-point shot at the buzzer to win it...it was the only 3-pointer made by OU the entire game.

Great thread! Lots of great memories relived!

1983 ish? Georgia Tech with Mark Price in Norman, big comeback at the end.

Good one. Really important win. Up there with the early wins over Vegas.

1990 game vs Loyola-Maramount where we gave up 112 points and won by 60.

March of '85 - and it felt like the middle of summer in that arena. Anthony Bowie had an epic follow-jam to put OU in the lead at the end of a 13-0 run.

Drew Lavender vs KState in Manhatten

And

Lav again versus Purdue his fr year

It would be cool if OU would together a highlight video of these

Man, I didn't realize it was that late in the season. Wasn't it a made for TV kind of arrangement with cbs or ESPN?

Pretty sure it was a CBS-arranged game. OU didn't go to Atlanta for a return game.

It might have been the last home game, and it was on a Sunday afternoon. The place was just roasting, but it was all worth it in the end.
