to the Fighting Frank Martins. I think the game was played at the Barclays in NJ. It took a woeful 3-pt % performance from ISU to drop this one....they were 1-18...yikes. But I consider that an outlier because they may only have one more game like that this season.

It's somewhat strange to have a neutral site game between two non-geographic related teams at this point in the season. Usually these types of games are reserved for earlier in the season and/or no later than Christmas.

Nice win for Butler today at #15 St. Johns. Helps us!

Yes, very surprising to me. The 3-pt shooting would explain it but I didn't see the game. Were they getting good looks or no?

They are a lot like us last year. If they bothered rebounding or playing defense they could be good.

They got some pretty good looks from 3 from what I saw. It was just one of those games where the 3's didn't fall.....but they were 19/39 from inside the arc. What actually lost them the game was that they missed 14 FTs.

And as PNK mentioned, they don't really commit to playing defense. Their defensive efficiency rating is in the 70s.....which is about like OU's rating last year....and most of us cringed at our defensive play last year.

ISU will get hot and bury some teams, but they won't advance deep in the tournament unless they get some really favorable matchups and/or they decide they want to play defense/rebound.

Where is a good place (link) to look up stats such as the defensive efficiency rating? Thanks!
