They are absolutely loaded. I don't know how the hell Hoiberg is getting all these transfers, but you add big time D1 talent like he is and you will turn the program around overnight. They are already gonna be really good this year, and will be loaded the next year.

PG: Korey Lucious (Michigan State Transfer)
SG: Chris Babb (Penn State Transfer. Big shooter, averaged 11 per game in Big 10)
SF: Will Clyburn (Utah transfer. 6'7'', averaged 17/7 shot 40% from 3pt line)
PF: Melvin Ejim (averaged 10/6 as a true freshman this year. Big time athlete)
PF: Royce White (Minnesota Transfer. Top 30 player out of high school. NBA prospect)

Bench
Tyrus Mcgee (Juco AA. Best shooter in juco basketball in 2011)
Anthony Booker (Southern Illinois transfer. 6'9'' 260 banger)
Calvin Godfrey (6'8'' post who showed flashes this year as a freshman)
Jordan railey (6'11'' 250 center. Depth)

I wouldn't ever pick them to win the Big 12 but if they aren't in the top half of the Big 12 then Hoiberg was a bad hire.

Well I guess OU and OSU should just pack up their basketballs after this season. No use even trying.

Hoiberg seems to have avoided criticism last year but that will change. they lost a lot of close games last year, despite finishing in the cellar. always be tough at Hilton.

even though OU did beat them in Ames, i liked the move Hoiberg made in that game to start pressuring us. really fueled their comeback. and, as bad a ball-handling team as we were.....kinda surprised more teams didn't do it.

I bet they don't finish in the top 5.

How much you want to bet on that big?

Transfers flop at their new schools as often as they flourish.Having to count on a bunch of them to ALL come together is dicey. On paper they look to be really good BUT grade, injuries, conflicting egos, work ethic ethic or lack thereof also figure in.

Um, no they won't.

They certainly could.

Why not, if they have the players?

Geebus.

Top 5? With that group of players? I would be willing to throw down some money on that. Say, $500? $1000? I dont think we can gamble openly on the site, but send me a PM and perhaps we can work out some kind of bet.

mmmmmm K......chemistry?

All the transfers redshirt together, practice with the team, etc for a year before playing a game. They spend more time together than new incoming frsehman do.

Oklahoma will win the Big 12 in 2012-2013.

PG Sam Grooms, Senior 6'1 - (Top Juco Point guard, known as a leader and true point guard)
SG Steve Pledger Senior 6'4 (Streaky shooter who hopefully by Senior year is more consistent)
SF Cameron Clark, Junior 6'6 (Rivals top 30 recruit, great athlete)
PF Romero Osby Senior 6'8 (elite level athlete, every report of his says he's a great player who has made strides sitting out the year)
C Andrew Fitzgerald Senior 6'8 (Skilled low post scorer complete with midrange game)
Bench
PG Carl Blair, Senior 6'2 (averaged 7.5 points and 4.7 assists as a sophomore, will push Grooms for minutes)
PF Robert Goff, Senior 6'8, (Big Athletic body, should provide rebounding and shotblocking)
SG Calvin Newell, Junior 6'0 (athletic guard who should mature into a good scorer and defender who will push Pledger for minutes
F Tyler Neal, Junior 6'8 (Former Oklahoma Player of the year, athletic and good shooter)

Not that hard to do on paper, looks like a lineup that could rival ISU's.

Props to you, Sam. Logic can be massaged (i.e., the OP) to make any argument seem reasonable.

If Newell turns into the JR Raymond-ish player I think he can be, and Fitz learns how to grab a rebound, and Clark develops into an All League player, that can happen.

Yep, you have been pretty high on OU lately too, I'll give you that.

i wont even pretend to know how ISU will do in 2012, but i will say that the Big 12 is better when Iowa State is good.

Why is Clyburn not having to sit out a year?

I'll take some of that please.

I wouldn't really call Booker a banger unless he's changed a lot since high school (and he's listed at 245, not 260).
