Is Osby eligible for 2 years or 1?

Though if he's as good as we've been repeatedly assured he is, by Coach Capel and others, who knows -- he could opt to go pro in 2012.

I hope he's everything he's been touted as being, but I'm taking all the hype with a huge grain of salt for now.

I'm trying really hard to not get too excited, but you hear it from everyone that sees him play or watches him work out.

agree, and all the leadership he brings is great as well, You get a feel that he truely cares about the program and is working hard to get us back to winning

I along with a few others have spoken to Romero recently. He is unbelievably excited to play and loves the coaching staff.

One thing that makes me believe the hype (other than the numerous things said by Capel) is that when Lon was interviewed right after the first practice, the one player that he mentioned explicitly was Romero.

At the very least, he will be a great leader out on the floor. They guys really seem to look up to him.

I knew this would happen. I knew if Kruger were hired he was one of the few who could come in and immediately get the existing players excited because of his track record and could also get an influx of a few players to transform the roster. I am really pumped for OU basketball...more pumped than I've been in a long time.

I know I was pretty negative during the Capel tenure, but I'm normally not a negative person. I think we have a chance to be pretty good next year but if we aren't as good as we all hope, I know better days are ahead.

We were better this past season than everyone expected yet most all posters spewed doom and gloom. I sure hope we end up being as good as expected. If we don't this board my have a nuclear meltdown and BigTime will go into seclusion again.

Yes, and even though many of our posters are excited (I'm one of them), some of us have to mix our enthusiasm with a few additional parting shots at Capel. Oh, well; I guess that's just the way it is.

I think OU will be better next year if they can get someone to contribute in the paint beside Fitzgerald and Osby. Washington, Goff, Thompson or Honore has to contribute some meaningful and consistent minutes. If one of those guys can play 20 minutes a game at a Big XII level, OU will be improved. OU doesn't need huge offensive production from those guys, they need defense and rebounding any offensive production is just an added bonus.

The one other thing OU really needs is for Fitzgerald to learn to be a better rebounder.
