Don't be surprised to see big news break on 2013 prospect Ishmail Wainright in the coming days.

Source: recent facebook updates + weekend unofficial visit (always a reliable indicator...)

I know both Capel and Kriger have been recruiting him, and he's close with multiple OU targets.

Sawyer, is it official the Pressys are staying at Mizzou?

So if the unofficial is to Mizzou, can we expect this big news to NOT be good for OU?

I was hoping OU could put together a monster class that includes Wainright and several big names in the 2013 class. LOL

Either I have the wrong year or this is a really early commitment. What's the dang hurry?

Not like this dude is Damon Bailey

Don't know what the hurry is... and maybe there's not even anything to it.

Here are the facebook updates that led to the speculation:

"Takin a visit saturday to MIZZOU !" (posted on Thursday)

Followed several hours by this:

"Makin the biggest decision of my life so far . But I know everyone on my side wants me to do wats best for me . Feelin good about it ."

Could mean anything, but it's easy to connect the dots and see why there's some optimism.

Another 2013 prospect, Tyrek Coger, is also unofficially visiting MU this weekend. Like Randle and the guard formerly committed to UNLV, Coger is apparently good friends with Wainright. Seems like he's friends with every good player in that class. It would be huge for anyone to lock him up early IMO. Seems like a guy other players want to play with.

(FWIW, Coger currently lives with top 2012 guard Rodney Purvis... who decommitted from Louisville after Mizzou hired the assistant responsible for recruiting him)

I'm not seeing the positive aspect of this thread. Seems like we might losing out on that "program changing" class in 2013 we all thought were possible. And a year and a half early....

Any encouraging updates?

for anyone who didn't know... Sawyer is a mizzou fan... so this thread is a positive for him and mizzou....

Yep.

A question for Sawyer: Is the Mizzou fanbase warming up to Haith? I know it's too early to predict how successful he'll be, but do you feel he's been making all the right moves so far?

The staff Haith hired has gone a long, long way toward helping Mizzou fans accept the hire. Really an outstanding group. Haith himself has made a lot of progress by saying all the right things. Most fans at this point seem to be cautiously optimistic or at least willing to give Haith a shot.

On Wainright, I've never really commented on here about him much, but he's always been a strong MU lean. He and his family are all big MU fans. I'd be shocked if he went anywhere else.

Truth on that Sawyer; he did put a great staff together.

For what it's worth Haith just got his first commitment. 2013 Forward Tyrek Coger.

Coger is actually friends with Wainright from the 2013 class and is very good friends with Rodney Purvis from the 2012 class. This could be a huge pick up for Missouri.

Wainright is also on the visit with Coger this weekend to Missouri. I hope he commits as well.

According to Bossi, he just committed to Mizzou.
