Last time we were number 1 was 1990 right? 25 years, almost 26.

Just awesome. Great feeling to see our guys on top! If we some how pull this off tonight we should be hard selling us being #1 and winning in "The Phog" against the #2 team to every recruit we want. Just amazing to see this. What's even crazier is that teams with guys like Hollis Najera and Blake never accomplished this. Makes you really step back and realize how cool this is.

Up to 3 in the RPI on the NCAA website, but somehow Villanova is ahead of us in that.

Kansas stays just ahead of OU in the AP poll. It's #1 vs. #1 tonight!

LOVE IT!!!

The intensity is always high when we play KU. It can't get any higher than when the #1 Sooners are facing off against the #1 Jayhawks.

Someone may need to call 911 for me tonight!!! :dance005:

That really demonstrates a flaw in that system. Villanova has two losses, one of which is to OU. Looking at the schedules based on names, I see little difference. I might agree Villanova's is slightly better but not nearly enough to make up for two losses and a head to head loss.

Forget the #1 vs. #1 or #1 vs. #2. What's more important is breaking that stranglehold the beakers have on Big 12 titles and their +20-year home winning streak against our Sooners.

If we can leave AFH tonight with a victory, we will have taken a giant step forward in our quest for a conference title and a high seeding in the NCAA tourney.

RPI is a relic, but I think it's going to be very kind to OU this year. Depending on how things shake out, OU could wind up with 8/9 RPI 50 wins and several more RPI 100. That can only help when it comes down to seeding.

I'd love for OU to be the team that knocks kansas off the pedestal
