One of the top centers in the country, Covington (Washington) Kentwood HS big man Josh Smith, is deep in the middle of his senior year on the gridiron, but he has had to make some time for quite a few visitors over the past few weeks.

Coaches from UCLA, Oklahoma, Texas, and Washington (among others) have made it a point to stop in on the big man.

We had a chance to track down Josh Smith's father for a few minutes to talk about his recruiting situation.

- The Oklahoma in-home visit went really well, his father was extremely impressed with coach Capel.
- The rumors that UCLA is the leader are not true, according to him. He says Smith is still completely wide open at this point without ANY "top schools".
- The rumor that he was visiting UCLA this weekend is not true.
- He is not going to pay much attention to recruiting until after football season is over.

Based on some of the conversation I believe it's safe to say the Sooners are in the picture. Also, Smith will likely not be signing with any team during the fall signing period. He is likely a spring signee, which means there is plenty of time remaining in his recruiting process.

Josh and Tiny together would make an unstoppable frontcourt imo.

That's a final 4 line-up. If we land either Jones or Barnes then it's definite FF.

But even without B or J we've got the wings on hand to compete in Cam, Pledge, Willis, TMG, and Taylor.
