After seeing all the top players under the spotlight not only do I think he's the best player right now I think he has the most upside.

He's going to be better than Zach Randolph and potentially Karl Malone. His strength & explosiveness are 2nd to none and that smooth stroke he showed off to ice the game last night was money. That first step off the dribble is unstoppable.

It's going to be a different game for him when he actually has to play against grown men. A tad too early to compare him to Malone. His game is like Zebo's, but he would get schooled by him.

I mean obviously.

Randolph is a 10+ year veteran. Randal is 18 years old :facepalm

Julius looks like the best player in America right now.

23 double-doubles as a freshman?! Unreal.

Randle might be the best player coming out of college right now but IMHO Embiid has the highest ceiling.

If he improves a lot and stats healthy. Lots more risk with Embiid. You can see Randle just gradually refining his existing skills & existing physical ability & being an all star..

I might take Parker over Randle, but that's it. Randle's game will translate well as a face up 4 with the spacing of the NBA game.

Randle will be the better player short term but I don't see the same ceiling on him as with the other lottery picks. He won't bully his way down low in the league like he does now. Whomever gets him will get a very good player none the less.

Randle has short arms, no right hand or left shoulder moves, and has already moved down most draft boards. He'll be solid, might even make an AS game or two, but won't be great.

I'm not the biggest Wiggins fan, the game seems difficult at times for him and if he continues to float like he does at times that doesn't bode so well for his NBA future where you have to bring it every night. Out of the 3 I think he has the biggest bust factor because he has a lot to work on in his game on the offensive end, he is an incredible athlete but the NBA is full of incredible athletes.

I'd take Parker then Randle, both of whom will be able to score right away at the next level.

Parker is really solid, I just worry about his upside.

I agree. He was pretty much carried in on a silk pillow and was left up there by the fans. His game has a lot of holes and he could really benefit from staying in college. I've said before that until he learns to hit a 15 footer he's going to have troubles. I realize that he can run and jump but training camp cuts are full of guys that can also.

but worst case for him is a close to 20 ppg guy ..

Maybe.

I want him to remind me of Paul Pierce, and in the way he moves, and his build, he kind of does. The problem with that comparison is that Pierce was the better shooter, and I think Parker is a little stronger inside. Both are currently listed at 235 pounds, with Parker being listed at 6'8 to Pierce's 6'7.

I think Parker will need to shoot it better from the perimeter in the NBA to reach his potential. And I haven't seen enough of him to know if that can/will happen or not.

The thing about Wiggins is he's already a really good defensive player. Even if he never develops the dominant offensive game that he has the talent to do, he's still going to be a really strong player in the NBA just as a stopper and a guy who can do some things on offense.

Wiggins plus 20-30lbs is scary to think about, especially defensively.

what are you talking about ... as a college frosh Parker is the much much better shooter .. and it is not close ..

from the field .. Parker .473% Pierce .419% from 3 (and remember it was closer back then) Parker .358 Pierce .304

Pierce was under .360 from 3 for his college career

Parkers numbers this year are pretty much what Pierce's were for college

parker was also a much better FF shooter ..

I doubt he is paying players. He puts guys in the NBA and Kentucky recruits itself.

He is hard on those kids, he breaks them down and builds them up...

Look at this year, they would NOT listen to him until a month ago... They have started listening and see what they have done?

He can coach...
