I think we could possibly creep up to 14 or so, but there are a lot of 1- and 2-loss teams ahead of us. Still, this was an awfully impressive win and we should certainly move ahead of UT and UNC, who was ahead of us in one poll but lost tonight. Maybe ISU, too -- or WVU, who plays in Ames on Saturday.

This is how I expected the defense to play last year. I wonder what happened?

Our defense is better because 1) we have returning starters who understand the defense better and most are better players and 2) we have more size inside and don't have to sell out to handle the opposing bigs as much. We did last night but Texas was either off or do not have a good outside shooting team.

We are also doing a much better job of keeping our man in front of us and in help defense.
