in 2007, our very own blake griffin arrived as the 23rd-rated player in the country. at #8 that year was a guy who could barely tie his own shoes: deandre jordan.

trust our coaching staff. trust their instincts, and trust their scouting.

Blake Griffin was probably #23 because he played 2A basketball, so they werent sure about him.

Blake was 23rd because guys like Singler and others were going to Duke. Also Blake's class was a talent stacked group.

It just goes to show that ranking recruits is far from an exact science.

Actually, the RSCI had Blake as the #16 prospect in the country. At the time he probably should have been around 8-10. He has made incredible improvements, more than even the OU coaching staff expected I think.

an outstanding class, at least 10 potential nba all stars and the class as a whole was very solid

It really was an amazing class. It will be fun watching them battle it out at the next level.

I'm going to miss the Beast. What a great, great player and young man!

The beast only played 4 minutes versus Kansas in his career. A stat pointed out by Ms.ProudSooner.

the guy you said couldn't tie his shoes will play, baring injury, as many years in the NBA as Blake
