I agree with everything said here. Dallas definitely sucked, but my gosh the AAC is a beautiful arena. The town couldn't care less about the tournament though.
KC is all about the support and the buzz. Whether you are in the P&L, the Crown Center, the Plaza or anywhere else, the Tournament is what people are talking about. It's just a lot of fun. Plus, the ticket market is usually pretty stout if you need to sell men's tickets to go see the OU women. The Sprint Center is also a better venue than the Ford Center, and the history of Municipal Auditorium definitely trumps the Myriad. Heck, women's tickets will be tough this year as long as the Huskers are still alive.
I have no problem with the current "2-KC, 1-OKC, 2-KC" format. It'll be interesting to see how they divide it up after the new sets of contracts are closed.
