Are we in the running for him? I have never heard of him but checked our "considering" list on ESPN and it has him on our list, and is the 87th ranked player in the country.

He's a big guard from Richardson Berkner outside of Dallas. He was committed to USC I believe but decommitted when they fired the head coach. He's good. He's a legit 6'4" I believe and is really athletic. He would be a really nice get if we can get him.

He played on a really good, really athletic Berkner team that made it to the Texas state final 4 before losing to eventual state champ Travis. He had a really tough time in that state semi when he was guarded by the bigger, more athletic Harrisons. The good news is that most guards he would face aren't as big or as athletic as they are.

Good player.

Kendal Yancey-Harris can hoop. Needs to refine some parts of his game, but he is a Big XII level player.

Go get him Lon.

Of course.......that's after you lead the team in the tourney. :OU-logo:

Who are we recruiting? We still have one ship left, correct? Who and what position.

Most likely will be saved for the 2014 class.

Unless something changes.

Or unless we can get a quality transfer to redshirt...or coaching changes means someone opens up in the late period that is worth using the ship on.

Why not take another stud transfer?

If they can find one, they will.

Transfers will start to come out here in the next few weeks, so we'll hear more soon.

I'm hearing Kyle Wiltjer from Kentucky may transfer at the end of the year.

5 star PF ranked 18th in the class just 2 years ago.

Kid is very good offensively, average defensively.

Will have 2 years of eligibility left. Won a national title last season.

Maybe he's an option?

We will know more soon.

We do not want Wiltjer, he is very lazy and would not even show up to the weight room last summer. He is very week on the defensive side, and basically a 3 point shooter and was only like 28% this year I beleive.

You would have to think some of these Kentucky kids might be asked to look at transferring? They have 1 senior on their roster and currently 7 commits, with only Nerlens noel going pro... Somewhere the math is needing to add up

Is Jarion Henry out of the picture for the last ship? I remember hearing a month or so ago that we were high on him again.

No Kentucky is fine.

They have plenty of scholarships.

Here's Andy Katz's take...

"Kentucky cleared up the scholarship issue for 2013-14. As of now, the Wildcats don’t have one with players who are promised scholarships for next season.

If everyone returns and no one else arrives (see: Andrew Wiggins) then Kentucky is actually set at 13.

There are six returning players on scholarship in Nerlens Noel, Archie Goodwin, Alex Poythress, Ryan Harrow, Willie Cauley-Stein and Kyle Wiltjer.

There are seven incoming freshmen — five are signed in Andrew and Aaron Harrison, James Young, Marcus Lee and Derek Willis — and two are committed in Julius Randle and Dakari Johnson.

The odds of Noel returning are slim, even with the torn ACL, freeing up at least one scholarship.

There is always the chance someone else will transfer or decide to still declare for the draft even with the prospects of making a team slim.

This could actually work out for the Wildcats if the returning players accept roles and become mentors to the star-studded freshmen as rotation players in a year."

This is so off base.

Is he better than CJ Cole?

Is he better than DJ Bennett?

We're not exactly in a position to be turning down 5-star, top 20 PF's with national championship experience.

The reason he struggled is because he just isn't a good fit for UK's DDM offense.

He'd be perfect for Kruger's offensive sets.

More like 36.7% from three point range-he was at 43.2% Kentucky's championship year...
