ESPNU is televising a 2-hour Kentucky basketball practice. Calipari is getting extensive interviews. Also, representatives from all 30 NBA teams are sitting in 3 rows evaluating the players. The players are being profiled showing where they ranked in their class, highlights, and projections of where they might play at Kentucky and the NBA.

What a recruiting tool.

This is why you go to Kentucky. It's like going to Harvard as a regular student. Unrivaled access to job recruiters.

Don't have to go to Kentucky to be found by NBA. If you are a player they will find you.

Let's not pretend like Kentucky isn't the #1 destination if you want to be on full-display for NBA guys.

Duke and Kansas are a DISTANT 2nd and 3rd

Don't have to go to Harvard to get a good job either, doesn't mean it doesn't help. Cal has NBA connections, the scouts will be at your games, you'll play and practice against elite talent, and you'll build your network.

it's just grandstanding. he's all about the fluff.
