Keshuan Hamilton Commits to Oklahoma >>> Will Jennings

I am happy that he is is tall.

I'm really curious to watch the development over Hamilton and Elliot during their last season in JUCO.

Nice add. We definitely needed bigs. Lets hope he continues to develop.

I haven't followed recruiting closely this year at all so maybe there are extenuating circumstances...but am I a bad fan for not feeling any positive enthusiasm about a commit that averages 7 and 7 at a juco?

No that doesn't make you a bad fan... what i would add is that we should remember that he was just a freshman and he gives OU something we don't have now... size and power. Every player cannot be the same so having players who can offer something different is important.

Do we know how big he was coming out of highschool. Has he gained weight, lost weight, gotten stronger his freshmen year?

Maybe Kruger see's his progression from highschool to juco? One thing for sure is that with a juco in my opinion it cant be a project. there is no time to wait. Not to thrilled about this committment. But if he has shown big improvements from highschool to juco then there is no reason why he cant improve from freshman to sophmore.

I just cant imagine that big of a kid improving that much and only averaging 7 & 7. How many rebounds did washington average a game in juco? Rebounding is effort.

Hamilton is a great addition for the Sooners. Big frame, very skilled/can step out and score facing up. Comes from Brad Winton at Juco Recruiting

Found his highschool stats - 10.5 pts, 11.1 rebounds, 2.5 blks, 1.3 steal, 1.3 assist

Also note, 5.6 of those rebounds were offensive. so seems as though he was quite active in the paint. Also, depending on how accurate this HS site is, it shows he went 72/79 from the field for a 91% field goal %. Although he only is down for 37% (13-35) from the stripe.

Where did he go to school at and what type of competition? The Hammond kid that OU signed averaged 12 and 12 as a sophomore. Hopefully this kid is a late bloomer.

Well Hammonds plays home school basketball in Oklahoma, so not a high level or basketball powerful state.

Hamilton went to Palatka High School which is 4A in florida out of 6A, and led his team to a 25-2 record senior year and district title. Didn't make state championship game but pretty impressive none the less and probably pretty good competition in florida.

Homeschool played a decent schedule last year. They played good 5A and 4A teams. If I were to venture, Hammond is probably better or already in better shape.....
